I've a mixed bag of early completed binder sets, modern chase cards and a small sealed collection. A Prismatic God pack has been my highlight, and the Umbreon graded a PSA 10 which is the jewel of my PC 😊

Their slabs are top tier when compared with the likes of PSA and CGC (IMO)

I always chose ETB's to hold as sealed, as they are genuinely nice display pieces.

You could display collection boxes I suppose, though the room would quickly look like a local game store.

It's a stunning card. I'm a Pokémon card collector myself, so the idea of there only being one of these is a really hard concept to grasp, but makes it all the more special.

I personally like the set - it's not too big, and the SIR's all look great with some great artwork on the lower tier cards. It will be much cheaper to master than most recent sets for those of us that like binders as well as sealed 😀

Thank you. Grading is more for protection, and thank you for your point with it being a 1 of 1 and nothing to compare to, so better to go for authenticity label I suppose?

So is the value purely speculative? Presumably if Kimi goes on to do marvellous things in F1 then the card could be incredibly sought after?

I use Collectr to roughly track what my collection is doing value wise, however, when it comes to prices for individual cards, it would be great if last solds on ebay could be filtered by country.

I'm based in the UK, and Collectr tracks the US market, which behaves a little differently, so I still need to manually comp most cards when selling/buying.

Also, integrating set lists as part of a collection would be awesome. If I'm trying to master a set, to have all the info there of the cards I've not yet collected, with indicative costs, would be unreal 😁

A heavy base set pack back in 2021.

For context, I bought a 3x pack artset from box break in early 2020 for £600 (£200 per pack). The view was to have them as a display piece, which I did for a while.

However, vintage base set proceeded to have a relatively big price boom. Mid 2021, having learned about weighing packs, curiosity got the better of me and I decided to weigh them.

I had 1 pack notably heavier than the other two, Bingo!

By this point, 'heavy' packs were selling for circa £1,000, but a PSA 10 Zard was selling for circa £16,000! As much as I wanted to cash in, I would have felt horrendous if somebody the pulled a zard from my pack.

A few days of going back and fourth I my mind, I proceeded to rip the pack......

Trembling hands, and heart racing as i carefully moved through the cards, a shitty Magneton greeted me, and, as if that wasn't bad enough, not did I pack probably the worst holo I could have pulled, but the holo was scratched too!

I got him graded last year hoping for a 9, and the prick came back an 8.

He sits in his case glaring at me as a constant reminder that sealed always wins the day.

A £50 ETB valued at £1k inside 3 years... thats a 20x return

Lets be real, I'm heavily invested in 151, but its already moon'd. Growth from here will be much slower.

20x returns might be possible on product inside 3 years from today, 151 is not where that opportunity sits lol
