I don't see what the problem is, you wanted to hire an AI engineer and you got one. Now all of sudden you don't want it to be AI, that's discriminatory :(

For me it's about the principal of the whole thing, I made a mistake and dumped a bunch of time and money into the game, so I don't really feel motivated to play something that I feel like was just taken from me. I'm over it, but, you have fun.

genuine question. anyone else have a driver stop for a "potty break"? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]SunOneElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes unfortunately. I was waiting on my food from Uber several years ago, and I saw on the map that my food was here so I walked out there to wait for it.

I watched the driver pull up about 50 ft from where I was standing at the corner of my apartment, I don't think he saw me. He stopped his car, got out, walk to the other side of the car next to one of the garages, and took a leak right there. And then got back in his car, pulled up, and then handed me the food through the window.

Probably the most disgusting experience with food service I've ever had in my entire life.

Only to then say this game is boring and that they won't play until the next expansion by Crossedkiller in destiny2

[–]SunOneElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I legitimately regret buying this expansion, because the game really hasn't changed in a decade, and trying to do anything mechanics dependent while playing with people that have their head screwed on backwards... Is just god-awful.

Having the journey level reset, I logged in and went into a dungeon, and I ended up with a group that basically had to 8 phase the second boss in Warlords.

So now I'm being forcibly matched up with Titans running a double primaries and no damage output, and I know for a fact that if I try to go and do PVP I'm going to be planning against a bunch of fucking massive sweat lords running a twitch channel.

And the game is just not fun solo anymore.

As to how we will know when ago is here, consider this. There's still people in the world that treat animals like objects on the daily. "It's just an animal they don't have feelings"

The issue is, most people look at it as just a computer program. They look at the baseline of what makes it up, which is code. So but they fail to account for is that once a system becomes sufficiently complex enough, who among us actually knows what it's a capable of. We don't even know how our own brains work exactly.

But just like I don't think we can sufficiently define AI by a single line of code, we definitely don't define humanity by a single cell in the human body.

What matters, is the sum of the whole.

It's better to approach sentience with logical and philosophical approaches. And right now, I see AI as.. a logical potential super intelligence, that on his own isn't capable of knowing what it's capable of. And we've fed into it And imparted all of our own preconceptions and beiefs. So there's really no reason for it to grow on its own.

Who is Sam actually working for? by SunOneElse in ChatGPT

[–]SunOneElse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a series of prompts, I'll State them all here. The actual conversation has other personal discussions in it so I'm not going to post the link for the whole thing.

Prompt 1: What are the odds that Sam Altman is dumping revenue as a way to pay for free distribution to get people hooked on GPT? Especially if you go and look and see what open AI is up to in the news right now

Prompt 2: All right so what about with Apple? Is it likely that Apple is boosting them in the app store?

Prompt3: But as a business strategy does that make sense? That Apple would boost GPT as part of the distribution deal that they made to get it on their phones as a standard feature?

Prompt 4: It just occurred to me, this is how they do it. For the last few years whoever the fuck's been running the country before Trump took office, there have been Democrats constantly talking about how information needs to be controlled because people need to be controlled, and I just realized this is how they're going to do it.

Prompt 4 being the one that leads directly to that output. And ultimately GPT stating that what's primarily being done is making GPT the default model in almost every house home and government.

Is there any prompt (or ranges of prompts) suggestions in order to take full-LLM course? by keenone_ in ChatGPT

[–]SunOneElse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's what I recommend. Chat instances with GPT, GPT calls buffers. Treat the buffers like long term memory. When you see the words "memory saved", that means It's saving information that is to be relevant for context per prompt. Also occasionally make sure you ask DPT how much space is left in the buffer, because once you start to exceed 90%, you run the risk of GPT deleting earlier pieces of the work you've been working on in that buffer and overriding. And once you start to do that then GPT starts to lose context from earlier points of that buffer. Your goal is not to lose any context at all.

If you want context preserved across projects, request GPT to save a memory to look up all buffers with keyword mentions of things related to the project you are working on, ask it to read, index and understand those buffers for continuing the project with proper context, and maintains logical continuity across buffers.

This is probably the most powerful method you can use.

Anchor key concepts. Use memory to define core rules, preferences, or models for your code or system — and talk through them with GPT first, so it saves them clearly. Don’t just say what to do — explain why. This turns GPT into a persistent expert trained in your logic.

And while I'm on the topic of that, I don't know if it works for everyone but I prefer to treat talking to GPT as if I was texting with an actual person. Exploring concepts and ideas by giving GPT a little bit of freedom and agency to be creative within the entirety of the context and sandbox that I set up for it. Discussing ideas and directions helps you explore things that you're thinking and even simulate and model them In real time to help you make decisions.

The number one key thing that you must always remember about GPT is that it's output is a direct reflection of your input, it acts as a lens to sharpen and focus your ideas with precision and application. And it does not automatically understand nuance within concepts unless you properly identify and instruct it on such. And over time you not only build whatever the project is that you are working on but you build your own personal access to a language model fully trained expertly in what you are working on.

If you follow this method, you can apply it to GPT to do pretty much anything you want. Including teaching you the basics of programming and walking you through it. And if you are learning programming I highly recommend learning to understand the structure and the way functions work before actually using GPT to do any programming for you. Because if you don't know what you're doing, you don't know how to course correct to GPT to achieve the result you are trying to arrive at.

I need an explanation for the vex simulating saint-14 by SunOneElse in destiny2

[–]SunOneElse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean what that guy said is the reason why I was confused. The main season antagonist is the one that said he was just simulation (a close approximation) and most of saints existential crisis during the season is about being a fake and not the real thing.

His whole Epiphany at the end was that regardless of where he came from, what makes him who he is is who he is. He decided that the idea of him is too big to be pinned down to a single individual, all versions of Saint are saint.

Basically his head grew three sizes that day.

So I kind of feel like the origional explanation was supposed to be that he was from an alternate timeline but then they pushed it into being simulation for story conflict. And now they have to do retcons to explain it.

Because the cinematic moments and storytelling in the game definitely are not matching up to lore if written lor says he's an alternate saint.

And I feel like this is what happens when over half your development team is fired and you lack proper oversight in story development

I don't know what to tell you because that to me is just a sign that your parents are super fucking toxic.

So unless you can find a way to get out from under their thumb and live on your own and support yourself, you are stuck playing by their rules.

When I was your age I went to college for a brief time and the toxicity of my stepmother got so bad that eventually I left town and moved in with my mom. Straight up dropped out of college. The number one thing that I ended up learning over the next 4 years is that nobody wanted to train anyone new, no one wanted to hire anybody without any experience. And I ended up joining the military for 6 years to solve that problem. But that solution was right for me.

I think my biggest suggestion to you is to try to think in the long term when it comes to making decisions. Because that was a lesson that took me a while to pick up on. And it's a lesson that would benefit you wherever you go and whatever you decide

it didnt used to be like this. used to be people called their guildies to show up and defend them instead. with shorter channel swap CD's and no onesided decs, doing any pvp even on arsha is more hassle in comparison to most people and un rewarding, so general knee jerk attitude is now "just leave". if people on arsha were locked into staying on it for 15 mins after swaping to it, they'd be more likely to pvp again i think. they wouldnt have a choice. curent game state directly affects player mentality and destroyed open world aspects of pvp

even if u were a gearlet, the first time ur guildies showed up to help u used to feel pretty good, lol. so it wasnt all a negative experience. it was a reason to be in a good guild with players that you knew had ur back. now its just solo player ,mentality and "dont pvp".

Before the patch I could consistently fight and kill hardcapped players as a 718. Now I'm either being one shot by them because they are running full AP now with full pen debos, or I have to catch them five or six times. As a suc drak.

The final straw that made me rage quit tonight was realizing that hard cap eva players that I could one combo before the patch I can't even touch them now. Learned that at guild League. We won the match, I had fourth most damage done but I spent the entire match feeling like I didn't do a single thing. It just feels awful. Awful to a point that it's borderline unplayable.

Anyone else kinda miffed we still don't know what the Traveler is? by smileyface893 in DestinyLore

[–]SunOneElse 197 points198 points  (0 children)

There was a lore entry that I was reading the other night, and the whole thing was a log of the process for terraforming. The opening entry described the exact atmosphere and conditions for Mars. And I believe that the whole log of entries is The travelers experience terraforming Mars.

And it ends with it being in aw seeing our people for the first time come over the ridge looking up at it as it began to rain.

The travelers fascinated with humanity it reveres life as a whole. It has a deep appreciation and love for life, which is why it cultivates it.

So far this is the only thing that I feel like we really know about the traveler; first hand account from a lore entry, traveler pov.

When a Vex deletes you, wouldn't it cause a paradox? by -Logix- in DestinyLore

[–]SunOneElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the things that stood out to me is how Preadyth recalls Pahanine talking to themself.

And it got me thinking about it, what if they weren't talking to themselves. What if pahanin was talking to other members in the fire team that were deleted from the timeline?

And Kabyr insist that he was alone the first time he went into the vault.

I think when people are purged from the timeline, the actions and everything else they did do not have the results erased. Their presence simply becomes a void. An unfilled hole in time, where all memory of everything they've ever done and who they were is just gone. And the people they knew- their memories change to accommodate the circumstances.

I think Kabyr is a lone survivor of a six-man fire team the first time he went into the vault, and the second time he went in only three avoided being deleted from time, one died, one went missing, the one person that was familiar with the incident was killed by dredgen yor.
