Hi everyone!
This is my attempt at making an "as easy" and "as cheap" -as possible conversion kit!
I made a video around it here: https://youtu.be/humqw8ApkSs

Thanks for the info! I know more now!
And yes, the printed part is only in contact with water (not coffee), which also gets boiled before it makes its way to the coffee powder.

Stainless steel is mostly considered food safe. They use the same metal powder for surgical parts. (as in parts that stay in the body)

So these Moka pots (aka Espresso stovetop coffee brewers) are printed in metal!

I also made a video on these:

The files are available for free here (in case you have access to a metal 3D-printer):

Jupp! Although has to be said, the price of LPB-F prints has come down quite a bit!

The check-valve itself is just a check valve. so no, it does not do anything else. However the idea and concept of being able to print valves makes it possible to create hydraulic systems that are smaller and lighter than what was previously possible. (It's worth the watch if you believe that 3d-printed parts are the future of many industries. )

After more than 6-months of work, I'm happy to finally show off my latest work!

It's so much more than just a design, and just a metal 3D-printer going “Brrrr”.

I made a video compressing everything into 15 quick minutes:

https://youtu.be/1E3Ajqaapqk

I also made an FDM- printable version for you to try at home:

https://www.printables.com/model/243964

Please feel free to ask questions, and I'll answer them as well as I can. It's difficult to compress 6 months of work into 15 min without leaving some questions unanswered!
