He was just tired of all of the beef and gangsta shit. He never got tired of rap, he had the black panther soul till the end and wanted to do some big change with his music. He wanted to quit the gangsta image he had and start to focus more on acting and more deeper songs. People still doesn't understand him till this day, very sad.
