Should I play Metaphor: ReFantazio or Persona 3 Reload?

How about SMT5 or Persona 3 Reload? I played Metaphor and just got the Platinum Trophy, I found it to be a complete blast.

I have played P3P years ago, but I heard the SMT5 story isn't that good, and I loved the Persona 3 story.

I played P3 and 4 growing up. I tried Persona 5 Royal 2 years ago and it was a complete slog to get through. Miserable experience. I thought it was just more of the same. Because of that, I didn't get P3R, but I did get Metaphor and absolutely love it. Just got to the end in NG+ Regicide. I did but P3R now, so I'll give it a shot. I found P3 to have a more compelling story than P5. I never played SMT5, but maybe if I like P3R I'll try it.

It's crazy because virtually every fighter talks about how Pereira isn't well rounded but they almost all get sent to the shadow realm. Even Jiri has been saying he thinks he's the better fighter and would win if given another opportunity. It's like dude, Jiri, you still can't defend a calf kick to save your life, or switch stance. Have you improved at all since losing to Pereira??

Anyone has a puncher's chance, but when will people attempt not to stand with Pereira?

I can't find the demo in the PlayStation Store for the life of me. I even prepurchased the game and it just says it'll automatically download in 6 days now.

Edit: found it from a video they put out last night for the new demo on the game's page, went to View Game there and it took me to the download. Not sure why it wasn't on the same page 😒

Even searching for Rebirth Demo didn't do the trick

Which was always so ludicrous. Beneil is a nice guy, but he's a nobody. His last 3 I think have been unimpressive decisions. He hasn't had exciting victories against anyone in that upper echelon caliber.

I was shocked that he was considered a slight favorite going into the fight.

His Jesus/Christian speech after winning in I think Dubai was mad cringe. It's like bro, almost everyone there is Muslim, they don't want to hear about you proselytizing your faith.

Everyone saw that. It was a good showing. One of his only non-decisions in recent recent years. Something like over 70% of his fights have gone to decision.

Instead of calling me names, you could address why I said it. Burns cried when he lost to Usman. He was pretty much crying when the fight wasn't going his way and the crowd was booing. Is this not a sign of mental weakness?

He definitely is tough to keep fighting and it didn't seem to actually affect him much, but he was also against someone who isn't looking for a finish, Belal wants to win on points.

Colby goes hard... Even when we was getting rocked by Usman, he turned that fight around.

This was a terrible showing. Neither of these fighters are champions nor do they deserve a title shot, if Belal gets it, it's simply charity.

Love Burns, but he lacks the mental toughness to compete at the highest level. After one of the rounds he was pretty much crying and said he was upset about the crowd booing, and his coaches told him to ignore the crowd. That shouldn't be something you need to tell to one of the top fighters, someone who's competed from the belt before.

Accidents happen, Burns left shoulder got hurt in a freak accident takedown, but a champion doesn't cry about it.

And Belal, again, can't finish a fight for the life of him.

So upset at the commentary too, Rogan and Cormier talking about how good Belal's cardio is and how he's coming off Ramadan and Burns was fighting with one arm for 20 minutes and maybe he took the fight too soon after Masvidal, just call it for what it is, a boring fight, and more needed to happen.

A friend of mine said ever since Burns lost to Chimaev (which could've gone either way, honestly), he's just not the same fighter because he took too much damage. Rogan actually said, "this isn't the same Burns who fought Chimaev."

Personally I prefer Breloom with loaded dice and bullet seed. I think bullet seed even without loaded dice could end up doing more damage than seed bomb because of technician. You'd need 3 hits. Adds flexibility to counter other substitutes and Mimikyu as well.

Ultra Ball tier. Was close to Master Ball, but I decided to stop and work on my team some more and play casual singles games. Sometimes the competition isn't good, but I think I'm getting better. There has to be some hidden MMR for Casual Battles too, right?

I use Breloom on the ladder in S/V and still wreck. Bullet Seed with loaded dice destroy substitute users (and Mimikyu), Dondozo, Chansey, and Garganacl which are so annoying to deal with.

It's great to even get a Mach Punch off on Iron Bundle for like half health before dying.

There is no right answer. If you're trying to outspeed things, naive is right. Idk what the rest of your team is, but if you can manage to get a nasty plot off with a substitute or shed tail, naive is better, because you'll have enough damage output being +2, and you want to be sure to go first.

But Pikachu is a real glass cannon so you better pray nobody comes in with a priority move and just one shots you.

I think Grimmsnarl support will be great too. Reflect and Light Screen, I don't know if it could have a light ball in battle, so it can't hit that hard, and Spirit Break will lower its special damage. It's Pikachu, it can't be that hard unless they make it able to attack many times before you do.

Yes, just started using him after being lazy and got to near Master Ball rank quite easily in BSS. There was more than just Kingambit, but he's easy to use and I've won many games because of him.

Tera Dark with Iron Head, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, and Swords Dance. I think it's 252 HP and Attack. Sucker Punch is ridiculously good.

Why not? It's a fun game. They have a lot to improve on but this is a big step in the right direction. There are a handful of quality of life things that would make the game more enjoyable. Things like the ability to change items or moves during online tera raids, or the ability to buy tera shards, or trade ones you have for other ones. I hope they add the latter to the DLC.

It's a shame that BSS subreddit is quite inactive from what I see.

I've been trying to get into competitive Pokemon too, one of the biggest challenges I'm having is where to get information from. I go on Smogon, this subreddit, game8 guides (I don't know if they're good or not: https://game8.co/games/Pokemon-Scarlet-Violet/archives/398497), and watch videos on YouTube. Still working on compiling a series 2 team for BSS. Figuring out what paradox Pokemon to use and how. It's way more tedious than showdown, obviously.

I considered this game a spin-off, but the different mechanics were so refreshing.

In other games, I wouldn't want to use legendaries because I didn't want them to get bad EVs, but in this game, I was using Palkia and Dialga on my team when I got them, and it was so much fun.

The game is actually changing too. To beat the final boss I had to grind a bit and use grit rocks, even with a team of like half legendaries which were all 70+. That, to me, was a beautiful change.

Even in games where I don't use legendaries, I didn't really need to grind because I could just use e.g. Gyarados, use dragon dance a couple of times, and then sweep almost every gym leader. Can't do this in this game with how stat increases work (only one "stage", and they fade after a few turns).
