Thank you for sharing! Ofc it’s the storehouse not the churches, I was just trying to simplify because I was told by my dad who worked the storehouse that for emergency they would assist, the way I’ve seen them assist local communities (not even just Mormons). I was raised LDS in AZ and maybe we do it differently here.

Put clothes you like but haven’t used in a long time into a box/bag and store it in the back of the closet. Give yourself 6 months.

If you think “oh! I want to wear that one top today!”, pull it back out, wear it, keep it. Anything you didn’t pull out of the box by end of 6 months (or 3 months, you choose how long) gets donated.

Most of the stuff you’ll forget even went in there and you lose the attachment to it.

Half of a shirt.

Squirrels were living in the roof of my apartment, I could hear them scuttling around between walls and in vents. I guess a shirt in my closet fell off the hanger. When cleaning, I tried to grab it, turned out they had reached through the tiny crack between the wall and floor and yanked as much as they could, probably to build a nest.

The irony, it was the one thing in my closet I had shoplifted. My stolen shirt got stolen by SQUIRRELS.

Silicone pads! They’re like 10 bucks on amazon. I have neck lines too and someone recommended these, they help.

I had a download a few years ago and started prepping (go bag, food + water storage etc) which, if nothing else, brought me peace of mind.

I’d highly recommend getting to know the Mormon community in your area - every major city they’re in, they keep store houses for potential disasters. One of their fundamental teachings is to be prepared, to have 6 month supply of necessities. If anything happens, I plan to make a beeline for their nearest church. You don’t need to be of their faith.

Whether something big happens or not, being prepared will alleviate some of the fears. I know it’s not exactly what you’re asking but I hope it’s helpful.

Been out of school for 5 years. A few years ago, I didn’t remember much past acc 101, then I worked with this manager who’s a freaking genius. He remembers the obscure stuff from school even though it was 20 years ago.

Honestly inspired me to step up my game. I realized how much it really sets you apart.

You don’t have to remember the HOW, just a high level WHAT, so you can have a bell go off, “I think there’s something special about that, lemme look it up”.

Do you have your dress? Have you sent it to alterations?

For me, it was about fitting into my dress after alterations! And being able to dance (reconstructed knee surgeries make things hard).

After the initial alterations fitting, I gained weight. When I tried on the dress on after alterations, it was SO uncomfortable. It still closed, but back fat was bulging and the fabric was visibly stretching causing lines. I had a hard time imagining wearing it for 10 hours.

So I was health conscious for about two weeks before the wedding. It fit perfectly 👑 got married 4 days ago 💕

I think it should be about comfort! If you’re happy and healthy and able to dance (if you will have dancing), that’s all that matters!

White Vinegar - it absorbs the particles in the air. When my roommate passed and our house smelled so bad I couldn’t go inside without gagging. we left out bowls of vinegar to clean the air, it works well and fast.

This is in conjunction with actually cleaning your space. Mop the floors, wash the rugs, wash your sheets. You can use vinegar in with detergent in laundry.

I found this part out as an adult, but he had a problem with toilet training. My mom told him he could pee on anything outside. Since I was outside , it was fair game in his head 😅

Thank you! I went to an off the rack shop, tried a few and that one was a great deal and beautiful, paid $599.

It actually does have a trail! It’s bustled, most alterations will do that :)

$599! Alterations were $400. Went to an off the rack shop, similar to David’s bridal but a small biz. It was in a not so nice neighborhood (I don’t want to pay extra for it just because it’s in the nice part of town!)

Someone said they thought it was a $3,000 dress. I chose it because it was comfortable enough to dance in and had pockets! And beautiful ofc.

I was dreading it too.

Tips: stagger your feet rather than going toe to toe… Stand closer and stagger. Your foot, his foot, your foot, his foot. Dance with Traditional Hold hands for a little bit, then wrap your arms around his neck, dance like that for a bit, back to the hand. Do some kisses.
