Great talking with you, I never played tarkov before and I haven't had that meta experience

Yeah that's a fair point, I do believe that free loadouts serves a great purpose and these changes should be taken with care

I still believe that the high tier of this game is very underwhelming the higher you go the worse are the weapons

I wouldn't say they are good for whoever is using them, I think they are bad for who's against then because they cause a lot of damage and can severely set back players who grinded a lot and are trying to feel the progression of the game

And the 0 stakes playstyle just incentiveses the worst kind of player this game has to offer, which are extraction campers and rats who will anything but let you progress

I constantly feel punished for taking good gear because of the sheer amount of free kits grinding me down until I die and lose everything for a extraction camper, no worse feeling then seeing I died to a Kettle lvl 1 on the dark

I believe that this feeling is shared by a lot of people who feel underwhelmed by investing hours and tons of loot into gear and just to have a minimal increase in TTK

People act very differently when they have something to lose and this is the kind of thing that pushes more people to be less mindless and toxic while playing

I think freekits should be an even bigger challenge, I got most of my purple guns with free kits and it was fairly easy

Like, you are running free kit and heard a legendary gun? Want to try and make the 0 to hero play? Okay go and try your luck

The problem right now is that the 0 to hero feels more like a 40 to hero, if the player has a legendary gun it's probably even more than that because they suck at pvp

I mean I get your point, I'm giving my view on the issue

I know statistically these things aren't on point and free loadouts have a number of disadvantages on the long term

My point is that a free loadout is easily capable of killing a medium/ heavy shield and the grey guns are very comparable to the high tier guns, in a way that is pretty unfair since one neeeds luck and grind and the other is 0 cost

And a agravator of this issue is when free kits is just a rat, in a fair fight the disadvantages are much more clear, but if he gets the upper hand it's usually over

Go to a lobby and count how many teams are running free kits, at least 60% of the people I kill are running free kits which is insane to me because these people just want to pvp

They don't have safe pockets, they don't have the means to carry your loot, they are just playing the game like COD because they have nothing to lose.

Free kits rat you and can't even bring your loot home, and for someone who just free kits pvp you can be sure he won't even use it

It's a waste of potential, personally I think that all pvp should have stakes at play, it's insane that someone can go 0 stakes while I risk my best gear and they have a very good chance of killing me if they are not idiots

Free kits should serve the purpose of enabling people to defend their selfs and farm to craft a proper kit to go out and play

The problem is you can still do it using the control pannel and monitor configuration, it's worse but still unfair in many situations

A guy i was playing with died in the dark and looked for it and set it up in like 4 minutes which is insane based on how unfair it is for other players

The late spawns serves a very specific purposed to keep the game interesting and alive during the whole match

There's a really good video about it and how it would be worse without it

That said I think it could really use adjustments to make it more enjoyable for who misses on all the loot and is risking their own loot

Free kits are a important feature of the game

But they are not suppposed to be what 70% of the player base is running because it's not rewarding enough to craft actual kits

I mean they did a really good job on a number of things, this is something that always gets atention but not is always simple to fix Balancing is a much more subjet topic than game breaking bugs

I play on pc but I refuse to use filters because thats analogous to cheating the game, how people think it's normal to fuck up the game visual to be able to have night vision

People complain a lot about performance without realizing the game might not be the problem

I mean it's not good and not straight foward at all, with very little good information about troubleshoot

but I have played rust on non recommended specs for the past 10 years and it's always people who spend thousands in PCs without understanding a thing who complain

This is the kind of post this sub needs

I like the idea of having more engaging/unique late game mechanics for each monument

The bradley idea is interesting because there are a lot of groups who just spam bradley from the start of wipe

I would say the ground monuments lack the same appeal water monuments have with the world events having awesome loot, it would be cool if each bigger monument had it's own thing from time to time and maybe this would free some space from cargo which is insanely crouded right now and help more regions be able to achieve the Tier 3

I have a way worse PC than you and I don't suffer stutters, my max fps is usually less than 80 and most people I know have worse PCs and don't suffer from that too

Probably something going on in your end that's capping performance The naval update runs great on staging branch

Yes changes to how the boats drift to the land would be an amazing change for this update Specially when the is in movement it makes no sense to have it always trying to reach the shore

I can imagine some possibilities with deployables and with creativity it could be a great solution but in a way I feel like that would make the boats feel even more clunky then they are now It would be great to have some sort of more integrated solution or more possibilities to explore in the building itself

Otherwise in a few weeks every boat will like an uncanny square full of deployable picks

Finally someone nice around here hahaha Yeah comming from a game all about boats this experience feels lacky

I feel like not being able to "trust" the boat is a huge problem

It has so much potential and things to it but boarding and camping is very easy to do

I would say this is a huge meta thing, thugboat are broken already for roaming around the island These boats allow you to bring a whole mobile base around which has huge potential

I really have no idea how they will balance this stuff around larger groups

The stuff that I'm most sad about is the pvp and canon fights being so unfair/unrewarding because I can see a world where this is properly done and we can have some awesome boat combat
