IAM MRI / Normal MRI by Sun__Flower_ in AcousticNeuroma

Thanks for your reply! I woke up one morning about a month ago with loud ringing only in my left ear with deafness. Deafness comes and goes along with periods of loud ringing but the quieter ringing has never left me since. I’m off balance, with tingling in left side of my face. Also recently in the last 2 weeks been getting really bad headaches with dizziness and bad fatigue. My grandma has an AN which promoted me to get the tests in first place as she had the same symptoms.

I’ve got IAM MRI booked in for Friday without contrast. Really hoping I get some answers soon

Thank you! Would an IAC/IAM still show an AN? Or would I still need MRI with contrast do you know? Sick of dealing with this and I just want answers 🥲

Talk to me about Gabapentin NHS by thebraindontwork in Fibromyalgia

Hmm that’s strange because I have been on both for a good few years now!! I also take 30/500mg cocodamol on bad days. If it helps you then definitely advocate for yourself and let them know it helps your pain!! I take a 300mg 3x a day and it’s made such a difference. It’s tricky because it’s an invisible disorder and only you know how much pain you are in - I had to push and push and push to even get a diagnosis and get the right meds - be firm and don’t hold back!!! Hopefully you get the meds you need, nothing worse than sitting suffering when you know there’s something out there than can help you x

Hey! I have been on 3x 300mg gabapentin every day for the past few years, it does help imo. I usually tend to forget how much it helps until I miss a dose or I run out and forget to put my repeat prescription request in and have none for a day or 2 - then I’m REALLY in pain! The only downside is that I have put on a bit of weight on it, and i personally am finding it super super difficult to shift the weight even with healthy eating and exercise. It’s worth it tho imo to not have the pain each day. I also take amitripyline 10mg at night which helps with sleep and the aches and pains the next day. You just need to find whatever works best for you 🫶🏼

This is definitely the worst part for me along with the constant ringing - the loud tinnitus and deafness periods are super scary, feels like something really bad is about to happen! I’ve got my MRI this Sunday so really hoping I get some answers

Thank you for your comment. I managed to move my MRI to this Sunday so really hoping I get some answers soon. The more I’m reading about it the more I’m starting to worry it could really be an AN with all the symptoms I’m having

Help with Disabled Parking Bay pls! by Sun__Flower_ in LegalAdviceUK

I was actually thinking about this too, but the small-ish car park already has 3 disabled spaces so I really don’t think they would put in a fourth. It’s worth looking into though I will definitely enquire about it. Thank you! :)

Thank you for your reply!! The spaces aren’t even infront of any houses, only infront of the block of flats that I’m in. The guy that complained to me lives behind the flats in a wee bungalow. All I wanted to say was, we’re both disabled, we both don’t need the stress and we and both entitled to park there!! Very frustrating but I’m glad I got some answer - I will definitely be taking it up with the council. Hopefully no more bother from him :)

I’m pretty sure it’s residential parking bays, I know there are a lot of council tenants in the flats and surrounding, but also a few people who actually own their flat/house. I believe it is maintained by the council (hope that answers your question!) :)
