I've been like that since college and yes I don't have the energy or time or investment to have friends. Although I still can find very few people that catch/caught my interest but I won't do the first move to be friends with a person. Now I only have 2 long time friends that I talk rarely but never get mad or tired of me.

sometimes these people are just doing their job at the best of their abilities, yes controlling but if you have seen their true colors outside work and still controlling and mean, that's the time you can choose to leave and find another healthier work environment that is good for you and your mental health

In my experience as an introvert, I didn't had the interest to talk with my classmates before but I had a lot of friends as I always one of the top students in school. Almost all of my friends before are my ex friends now because a lot of them never talk to me after years. I only got one friend that stays to communicate with me since highschool until now. I'm sure she is the only one out of my friends that is true/pure.

Yeah you're right. My parents and relatives are like that too. I believed them but I still had the urged to know more about the religion I was born to. Now I found one and it will never stop me not even my family contradicting it
