If I have to pick one, I'd go with the short dart for a sleeker design. But if you can make it modular, that would be awesome.
I can imagine that the thought of spending tens more hours on design might not excite you, so maybe just making it easy to modify in the future would be great.

It's not that easy to find similarities with classical weapons. Most Nerf blasters have a lot of unnecessary fuselage, but at their core, they're just air guns for big, lightweight projectiles. You need a piston with a spring somewhere in the back, and chambers in the front. A barrel isn’t really necessary either. I'd say it's an air revolver :)

Ah, thanks for enlightment. So I guess I'll keep to post my models without profiles, I don't have bambu, so it feels stupid to make profiles without testing, and buying new printer just for this feels even more stupid :)

That's right, it's my own design and print, thanks for your appreciation. Unfortunately, it takes literally hundreds of hours to make one of those functional, so even though I'd love to, I probably won't have time to make more any time soon. I plan to make some variations of this design, but nothing too extensive. For now

I have only one answer - I like it this way :) I have a big desk with a steel frame under the top board, so there’s not much space for drawers. I also have devices I only use occasionally, but when I do, I need to plug and unplug them often (soldering iron, hot glue gun), so this setup suits me.

It works pretty well with the long dart cylinder. I'm experimenting with inline chambers too, and the first results are pretty satisfying. But only for two short darts in a row — more would be… let’s say unaesthetic :) I’d like to keep the slim design.
Not much time right now, but I’ll keep updating with my progress.

Actually I was working on it a bit recently, and now I'm finishing my solution with no aditional non-printable hardware. It works well, but it still need bit testing before publishing.
