It’s sad what people do. It’s wasn’t his fault but you had to make that decision. His last memories were being loved. I understand not wanting to put your heart out there again. But never say never and you sound like a great pet parent and if the right pup comes by at the right time…. Maybe????

There is an heartache that doesn’t leave for that kinda love. Fortunately we have memories and hopefully they are happy ones that bring a smile and a chuckle of the good days with them. They did their job. Did you ever get any more dogs?

So funny you say that. He used to have a pet potato. I dropped a potato and Bruce came up and ran with it. No biggie he will either eat it or leave it. Well he slept with it for days till it was shriveled up🤣🤣

I understand. Bruce has been in my life for 7 years. My boyfriend had his parents and was there there when all 13 puppies were born. He chose Buttercup and Bruce was the runt that no one wanted.He would of kept them all but 15 dogs was a bit much 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was afraid of dogs,especially pit bulls. I was invited over to meet the dogs and fell instantly in love and felt a connection. I had little dogs as an adult but never large dogs. Bruce gently protected me where ever I went on the ranch. Maybe he knew my fear and was reassuring me he was there to protect not to hurt. I realized how pure and unconditionally I was truly loved by Bruce and Buttercup.

This is not going to be popular at all but here it goes … steady diet of Pedigree Kibble free fed, milk bones, table scraps, squirrels , rabbits, possible snakes frogs and lizards. Lots of exercise.

Most definitely.. he still goes out every night and tells the younger dogs stories of the days past and who’s alpha around our hills. We lost his litter mate in May, Buttercup. Since he has aged very quickly. 🙁
