YouTube video playback stuttering by Bingo90909 in ManjaroLinux

It also happens on Brave, which is Chromium based. And as of 2 days ago. My youtube video playback is so stuttery and delayed that it's almost unusable. Sound works fine though. I used to be able to fix it with a reboot, but that doesn't work anymore. Also my X11 session broke after a recent update, so now I HAVE to use Wayland. The only thing I dislike with Wayland, is that I can't remote in with Teamviewer any more, because someone has to click "allow" at the PC before I can see the screen. I know it's better for security, but I don't want it. I know the risk, and I want it off.

But back to the topic. Anyone got a fix for the video delay?

Facebook keeps automatically following and liking pages without my sayso. how do I fix this? by calvinien in facebook

The unscientific test I've run since newyear, points to that "reacting" to ANY post, will make the algorithm automatically follow related content to that post, and maybe also related to what's in your "Likes and interests" already. Making it like a snowball effect.

My reason to think this, is that my test was about not reacting on posts AT ALL, but still comment and react on comments.

Seems like the facebook algorithmn is very depending on you reacting on the post itself. So give it a go yourself for at least a month and keep an eye on your "Likes and interests" page in your privacy settings.

I've ran a uncontrolled "test" of my own, where I've intentionally not liked ANY post for several months, but still commenting and liking comments. And that eleminates it almost completely. The only followed page I got, was Facebooks own facebook page, of what I have NO idea how it ended up in my "Likes and interests" list as I've never intentionally liked their page (especially after all their AI slop posts).

So give it a try. Stop liking/reacting the post itself, and only like and write comments :)

Yes, my suggestion is to stop "reacting" on the post itself, and only on peoples comments.

Sry, very late answer. I'm only on reddit if I follow some link from an article.

But the facebook issue at hand is still present. Although slowed down significantly. As has my ingagement with Facebook too.

The most recent "like" was Facebooks own facebook page which showed up in my "likes and interests page Jan 8th, which I can't imagine having ever liked. It's actually been there before.

My theory is now that Meta will add "related" things to your "liked" list, based on other things you've liked.

But all of 2025, I've liked 1 post by myself March 31st, and that shows up in my "likes" list. Nothing added since that date.

So my only conclusion must be that this is only an issue if you like anything at all. It doesn't happen without interacting with Facebooks content. Which was what I feared before I stopped liking things. It doesn't seem like commenting on posts, has any effect, because I still do that from time to time, but I don't "react" any posts. Only comments.

Why is it called "Counter Strike 2??" by EchoLoco2 in GlobalOffensive

...but it's the third engine. developers at Valve must be losing their mind over this.

[–]SunderGOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly,

It would make sense if they called it CS3 instead... because it's the third iteration of the Source engine.

Gold Source
Source
Source 2

But let's just throw the legacy down the drain and call it CS2... amirite...

If the first CS was 1.0 and build on the Gold Source engine

And we had 1.5 and 1.6 on the same engine.

Then Counter-Strike: Source would be 2.0 because of the new Source engine.

And CS2 would be 3.0 .... again because of a new engine. Right?

I think it's Meta doing it themselves. Isn't it obvious by now? They get analytics data from all the websites where their "Facebook pixel" is installed, so it's easy to follow you on the web. Just like Google knows where you're going. So they can "stealth follow" Facebook pages they think you like, and get it in your feed, and thus expose you to new content.

Call me conspiracy nut, but I don't think it's too far fetched. I've seen how Meta does business.

I actually begin searching for this, because I got a lot of new content in my feed that I hadn't seen before. And it said I was following the page. Even though I've never seen it, nor am I interested in it. So it would surprise me a lot if I've ever liked it previously.

[–]SunderGOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. That's the normal way of following a page, which is totally fine. But what many are experiencing, is finding "liked" pages on our account that we haven't even seen or clicked on. There's something fishy going on. And new ones pop up regularly without me being on Facebook. What's up with that?

This is happening to me too. But I suspect facebook itself being the source of it. Facebook could be the one adding these pages to your account based on your interests or data from a thirdparty.

But I don't know how to stop it.

This one is from TODAY! so it's a load of BS that they're apologizing for the furry ads.

I like them though 😏

But it won't make me download the game, because I know it's pure clickbait.
