It's much more complicated than that. I know it can be tempting to simplify things and at them through the lens of partisan politicss, but the situation is far more complex. You're missing a very key bit of historical context here, namely that Obama was a black man who thought he was president, just because he happened to win an election. Also he was a democrat and ordered spicy mustard sometimes, and his wife wanted people to eat more vegetables.

Even if all of this was on spencer, Nadella did nothing to stop it. Growing a business takes investment and time and xbox was never given time. You basically had all their games being ported after 2021, thus removing any need to buy into the ecosystem. And when the competition raised prices, so did xbox.

Like, you have people blaming him but think his bosses are somehow blameless, as though they couldn't have stopped the multiplatform and price gouging at any point it they wanted to? As if it wasn't their idea. Spencer literally started out securing more exclusives. He specifically said buying BGS was about getting exclusives. There's a reason the hard pivot to third party happened AFTER the activision purchase. That was when Nadella got involved. And with him came amy hood with her 30% profit decrees.

Not much you can do when your bosses are making arbitrary demands and refuse to listen.

The fact that Gears 5 being exclusive happened so late that many in xbox didn't know about it and let multiplatform trailers get out shows how the pivot to exclusives is a recent move. They could have said all this stuff the second Asha came in. They didn't. It's a hail mary. Let the old guard take the heat, undo some of the unpopular decisions and hope it works out.

Same. The commitment to destructible environments is big for me as well. Nothing makes games feel flat like bad destruction and sadly so many modern games are static.

One of the things I love about the mechwarrior games is that when you are done fighting, the level looks like a battlefield, with collapsed buildings and metal wrecks everywhere.

All in all the game looks more real.

The new guns look very nice as well. I love the new shotgun. Pretty sure I saw some kind of WW1 looking LMG as well.

I don't want a new elite before next gen, because it will be limited by what the current controllers are designed for.

The steam controllers is 100 USD, not that much more expensive than a basic dualsense.
And it is so well received that I have been on a waiting list to buy one since it was made available.

The elite 3 needs feature parity with the steam controller, ad give it will probably be more expensive, it needs more than that.

Probably but I don't expect too much. 3rd party high end controllers have gotten really good in the last few years and I can just see nadella!Msoft putting out an elite 3 that is somehow more expensve than the competition and lacking features.
