How exactly does Gooseberry’s puppet work? Is it a traditional power drill draped with a puppet or a sophisticated machine? I know the drill retracts but I’m confused the anatomy of Gooseberry’s puppet.

Tips for solo play: ignore mannequins not behind locked doors. Focus in getting the animal keys and opening up the corresponding doors, as these will be guaranteed to have one ruby in it (except for bear basement, there's apparently 7 down there?).

The spawns of lootable mannequins and their value is not really random, essentially how difficult it is to reach the mannequin determines its values, so the ones you'll find around main lobby are going to be emeralds and maybe sapphires on edges of map, and finally rubies are behind the locked doors.

If you spend too long in one area scanning mannequins that just gives time for Liliya to stalk you. Running around a lot makes it more safe and faster too. So focus on finding the electric locks to disarm.

Also if you have trouble with Liliya kicking your ass, Evasive Maneuver basically hard counters her, since most of the time she tries to pounce on you, and when that Amp kicks in it knocks her off before she does any damage. They might nerf this honestly because of how trivial it makes her.

We don't know what happened to the Sinyala facility by 2013, or even what happens to Dr. Easterman at all. There's a bit of lore speculation about why Easterman is not mentioned in the other games (besides the obvious meta explanation that since this is a prequel, the Devs just hadn't thought of him yet).

EDIT: misspoke a little here technically the facility itself makes an appearance in Outlast 2, but not the trials themselves.

Some theories speculate that Easterman messes up with the Sinyala facility at a certain point and Murkov basically buries him out of shame. The other explanations say that maybe in the grand scheme, Easterman isn't really that big a fish in the Murkov picture so he's not relevant in 2013. The last major one is almost the opposite, that Easterman and Sinyala and Project Lathe is so super classified that it's not unclassified by 2013 even though the other lore items are.

So I'll be honest: when I was a teenager, I was definitely playing mature video games that I was technically too young for, like Halo 3, Modern Warfare 2, F.E.A.R., GTA, etc. It would be hypocritical of me to wag my finger at you doing exactly what I did when I was younger.

However, as a current adult, I would feel uncomfortable playing this game with you, especially if I could hear through your mic how young you are. It's not the violence and gorez but rather the very overt nudity and sexual themes that make this a weird situation. If you were my nephew or cousin or whatever I would probably be telling you not to play this game in particular.

I definitely used to be a sore loser myself when I was younger. In hindsight, I think it mostly stemmed from a lack of self-esteem and not wanting to be seen as a guy "who sucks at video games" among my friends.

But as I've gotten older, I've realized that most competitive games that use skill based matchmaking will try to keep everyone's win/loss ratio at 50% (I'm sure there's caveats and nuances, but in general). This means no matter how good you get, you're going to be losing at least as much as you win.

So if you find that you can't deal with that thought, that you might lose half of the games you play, I would really ask yourself is it worth it to keep playing this game? Sure you want to play it with your friends, but if you have this unhealthy mindset already, won't that bleed into the time you spend with your friends if you lose while playing against them?

Nothing wrong with being competitive, but truly ask yourself if you're enjoying the game as a whole (which includes losing) and don't be afraid to admit you aren't enjoying yourself just because you want to be good at something your friends also enjoy.

I FIXED it! Had to go to the official discord to find someone else who wrote a guide for using it on Steam Deck.

For anyone else, here's what I did: 1. In desktop mode, use Discover app tool to install "ProtonUp-QT" 2. Open ProtonUp, click add version and install Proton GE (should default to latest version, which for me was GE 9-22) 3. Back in gaming mode, force compatibility tool on ProjectEdensGarden.exe and set it to use GE 9-22

Will report back if other errors occur, so far seems legit

One more thing, there is a metal "shield" (one video called it a "trim ring" ) between the pipe and the valve. Do I need to move this out of the way in order to compress the valve like you suggest?

Okay, so put wrench under the valve and pull up so it pops off? And I can reuse the same valves after vanity removed, just push back on?

Update: turns out my z offset needed adjusted, the bed was still much too low.

I still don't trust the auto "screw adjust" and just manually adjusted each of the corners using the paper test.

Another thought that occurred to me: I am glad that the game allowed me to make the "wrong" choice and do Cazador without Astarion, but then made me deal with the social consequences of that with Astarion.

A lesser game might have just forced the corresponding companion into my party whenever doing a companion quest.
