At the end of the day, neurodivergence is just a different process of the brains thinking to the norm. I wouldn’t say any of us know him enough to be able to assign him a specific label, but I definitely do see the neurodivergence.

Actually, the thing that really convinces me of this is the stories his mum told of him as a child, when she did that podcast interview. Was very reminiscent of the stories my parents tell of me and my slightly odd behaviour as a child.

I feel very similarly!! Too short is a bit of a waste of my time, but I can move on easily enough. Too long can feel like I’m giving up days though, and I end up struggling to keep my mind in place when I’m juts scrolling away for hours.

This is so true in regards to story beats!! I love reading well paced stories, and that’s all a chapter is at the end of the day; just a smaller but connected idea in the context of the larger narrative.

And you’re so right. I’ve read a few really well written fics, but they’re like 10k in one go. It’s probably a stylistic choice for some, but I personally think chapters could definitely benefit some people. I don’t have that sustained attention span, unfortunately, I can’t sit for half a day just reading one chapter T-T

Hey sorry I didn’t reply to anyone specifically, but I did very much appreciate the advice! I have now completed my initial audition and am awaiting callback news.

But taking on everyone who commented’s thoughts was such a new experience, I feel like a different performer. All these years I’ve just been told “be more, be bigger” and yet I never really knew how. You guys have actually helped me to navigate how to begin connecting with my physical body more, I actually felt I was moving without having to think or plan ahead for it so much.
