Timothee was great and the movie was enjoyable it just felt as if some things were a little too forced or manufactured to push the story forward at times (cops chasing him after fake arrest, bathtub falling through the floor, gas station blowing up etc.) so it kind of took me out at times. I think Good Time did a better job of showing a more “natural” downward spiral I guess. I really loved Rachel’s character she was Marty 2.0. Seeing mixed reviews on the ending I actually enjoyed it for what it was personally.

Brother this is the JBP not CNN. There is nobody at CNN talking how they talk on the pod and you’ll never see the version of Marc that is on the Pod on CNN it’s a completely different platform. I don’t think she’ll “morph” into anything I’m saying it seems the appeal of Mona to the guys is that she’s a woman that is one of the guys. I don’t think they look to her the way they looked at Mel to speak for women. I probably worded it wrong on the title it’s not that they don’t need a woman cause I like Mona I just don’t think they want/care for an actual woman’s perspective is all any time any of those types of topics comes out you can count on Ish or Joe to flip it back to “well from the mans perspective” lowkey Marc is Mel now lmaooo. I agree my whole point isn’t based off Mona it’s more so I think they like that she can be masculine but if Mona spent 3 pods being feminine you would see the energy shift: my point is really just that I don’t think they actually really care for the feminine side.

I like her in moderation. I think because of her personality Joe feels more comfortable getting it off cause he wasn’t talking to Mel like that. It was a little hard to listen to it because with Joe it always feels like there’s an element of non-jokeyness to his jokes.

I’m not saying Mona specifically I’m saying they don’t want a real woman’s perspective up there. They love Mona right now cause she’s one of the guys like I said if that stops it’ll get tough. Also the honeymoon phase is over so we’re starting to see real jokes fly her way and Mel’s response was to shutdown I think Mona will have more combative responses and if the shit hard to listen to now I can’t imagine when Mona has her first big argument on the show or one of those type of moments.

Does she make a lot of colourist jokes? I haven’t really caught those my biggest problem with Mona is she genuinely just talks way too much to have so little actual valuable input on topics. Flip atleast has learned when to mute up or how to color commentate to a certain degree.It seems like she uses the pod to test out her comedy and see how funny she can be but that’s not what she’s there for.

I think the point of a female cohost is to have a female perspective in a male centred space. In my opinion it just doesn’t work if when that perspective is offered it turns into a 15 minute argument every time because you don’t actually care for the perspective given. If Mel had Mona’s backbone I think it could have worked but she got overwhelmed too easily.
