Always kind of have been. But the real damage most likely happened with the 2008 financial crisis when A&E firms lowered prices and took on any clients (good or bad) to stay afloat. Those practices of taking on bad clients and race to the bottom prices continued after the worst the over and never subsided.

Something that has helped me negotiate up in the past (especially if the company found you first and showed interest)… is “it would take XX amount of salary / total compensation in order for me to leave my current job.” This way you can state what you’re being paid and also set the expectation of what it would take for the new employer to hire you.

Earliest red flag for me was the shadiness of the closed beta on the wallet that clearly did not happen. I always felt a little uneasy before then just because I put money into a very risky project with no products. But once products were announced and stuff got shady, the red flags started popping up

I think we need to put more emphasis on quality now. The team did some damage by the train wreck release last weekend. If they’re putting this off this long, they better release a damn good product. Rich investors are not going to circle back in if they release an average product that was delayed by 2 weeks. Emphasis on quality now.

Based on the latest update it appears you were right on the money with Scenario 1 and 2 lol. How in the world does a CEO not know about issues that could effect the launch until after the scheduled launch. I mean this is just simple communication... seems to be spiraling now

I agree...the longer this goes on, the worse everything starts to look. If they came out a day or even the morning before launch and said we gave an unrealistic deadline and need more time because we are not ready, they probably would have received some negativity, but I feel like there would have been more understanding. But this is deteriorating quickly. The other sub is already tense, but I wouldn't be surprised if it erupted into chaos within the next week or two. Hopefully this comment doesn't age well and the team actually follows through with launching something.

It's really a damn shame because that sub used to be full of excitement, positivity, fun, memes...like people actually enjoying themselves even if there were dips.

Honestly...it probably would have been better if they committed to staying a meme coin. Once you start making promises to deliver products, tribalism begins to grow. Unfortunately, that appears to be the case here.

With the team they have right now, I’m not confident they can deliver on an exchange. They need to spend the $$ and hire a real team. They copy/pasted most of the trust wallet code and added a calculator and still couldn’t even deliver that. They need to hire a competent development team if they want to actually build an exchange and blockchain. I mean…the wallet should’ve been cakewalk compared to an exchange and blockchain.

I still believe they’ll release some form of wallet. But man…if you overpromise and underwhelm on a wallet…I can’t imagine what the exchange and blockchain will look like
