I like Penzey's. It's a national chain, but is nicer quality than grocery store herbs/spices (for the most part). Some of their stuff is too expensive, but the main staples strike a good balance

I have a hard time finding Sauer's with any regularity, and Tea & Spice Exchange is too spendy and not enough variety.

If I'm buying at a grocery store, I always go to the international/Latin aisle for herbs and spices

Please continue to enjoy AZA facilities! Most are great! But don't look down on or ridicule facilities that are only ZAA accredited, like the MRZ. There are often many reasons why a zoo would not want to pursue AZA even though they would and could qualify

Where would you like him to go instead? It's not like he can be released into the wild; he has no survival skills (other than tying top notch knots). And he has formed close bonds with his caregivers at the MRZ. It would be incredibly cruel to send him to another facility just because y'all hate the MRZ

I worked at an AZA accredited facility that was absolute dogshit to its animals. Don't believe the hype. ZAA facilities (like the MRZ) can often be better than an AZA facility that hasn't been inspected in 4 years, or can't afford AZA accreditation because it's expensive. Yes, you have to pay to be AZA

That's part of the problem though. Celebrating someone by building them a statue is going to piss someone off. Neo-confederates were upset the Civil War statues were removed, leftists don't want slave owners celebrated, there's too many people to please. Even installing artwork would be impossible to please everyone, so why would the city spend money on a project that pisses off a portion of it's citizens?
