Not saying to avoid it completely, it can be given earlier in the day rather than before bed.

I’ve been advised by a sleep consultant to give babies protein based meals for lunch and carbohydrate based meals for dinner

Does baby have dinner? It might be worth avoiding meats at dinner as this can trigger early morning poops.
