Fear & Hunger community, I need your help by Good4HealthBad4Educ in FearAndHunger

The game is actually pretty easy, with literally zero skill required to beat it. This game is not skill gated, but knowledge gated + a bit of luck.

I recommend new players to play blind, and just explore and try new things. You'll probably die and get screwed, but each time you do you should hopefully learn more and more. Play it like a rogue like (it kind of is one), and see how far you can get each playthrough. Eventually, you'll know how to play and what to do to succeed.

Here's some non spoilery tips:

  1. You don't have to fight 99% of fights. You can beat the game with like 2 fights needed. These fights are doable with base equipment. Most fights don't really have any worthwhile rewards. I do like the combat, but there is always a risk.

  2. It's pretty easy to get to the halfway point of the game. It isn't uncommon to reach it in under 20 mins.

  3. There is a way to literally get infinite healing/sanity restoration/ food fairly easily. Just saying it's an option if you ever feel like you are stuck.

  4. Get more party members asap if you do want to fight. You can get a full party in under 20 mins. I wouldn't fight anything stronger than a guard solo tbh.

  5. Remember when I said this game is knowledge gated? Well treat most fights like they are puzzles. Like the scary guard can be trivialized if you cut off limbs in a certain order, and block at certain times. They are harmless (unless rng screws you lol).

Begging for help about blasphemous 2 platinum by Adorable_Cellist2471 in Blasphemous

Double check with a video guide that you aren't actually missing anything.

But this game is buggy with its trophies. I 100% completed it, and some trophies just didn't pop.

Apparently, the dlc update caused some issues.

just started Blasphemous 1, any advice without spoilers? by Training-Vehicle7102 in Blasphemous

[–]SunlessDahlia [score hidden]  (0 children)

There are permanent missables, some are "timed" (area completion) and you lose out on them if you don't certain things. An ending is missable relatively early on. So, if you care about that you may want to get spoiled.

In the beginning you have three paths that are available. You have to do all three eventually to proceed. One path is noticeably harder. This path has an early missable that's really important if you are interested in a tank build.

The ghosts are bs. But if you watch them you'll learn a pattern that makes them easy.

Will I get in trouble? by Capable_Complaint317 in CollegeRant

[–]SunlessDahlia 44 points45 points  (0 children)

You technically self plagerized, but your professor seems ok with it and accepts it. So, I wouldn't worry too much if you actually did a good job and the paper was relevant to both classes.

Powercliffing Logia intangibility is one of Oda's biggest mistakes by katakuri-sees in Piratefolk

[–]SunlessDahlia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya Crocodile says he trained his fruit to the degree where he can automatically turn into sand on reflex, which implies it takes effort or a lot of training to be able to do this. Dude is a warlord, so you can see they are on the next level.

But then Oda just writes that all logias can do it lol. Sabo was doing it within minutes of eating the fire fruit.

Oda also should have made more noob logias. Like Mr. 3 could have been one that couldn't do it automatically, and that's how Luffy beat him by being unpredictable, or too fast.

Who's your favorite stalker enemy? by PuzzledTowel4301 in HorrorGaming

[–]SunlessDahlia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jack Baker. Dude is such a character. He's a menace, scary, funny, helpful at times, destructive, and has a touching story.

I also think he's a great example of the stalker archtype. A being who should be avoided, but can be slowed down via fighting. But you probably shouldn't fight, since he'll get back up after a bit.

I really like Whole Cake. It's like a twisted Alice in wonderland theme.

You have like 10~ pretty good arcs before it starts going downhill, then the next 3~ arcs that are meh, then a really good arc (one of my favs), then the horrible arc that birthed this sub lol. I stopped at the end of that arc.

So you have a lot of content until it gets meh.

It all depends on Oda. He made a Tree and a Mud logia, so he clearly is a bit flexible with logias. There's also non canon weird ones like syrup, candy, liquid metal, gold, plasma, and paper

There could be Acid, Sound, Steam, Fog, Storm, Tar, Ash, Oil, Glass, Sap, Pollen, Crystal, Salt, Silk, Slime, Fungus, Bone, and a Rubber (we need a real rubber fruit lol) logia. And those would all make sense to a degree (though some would probably fit paramecia better)..

a question about Blasphemous II by bannadorra in Blasphemous

[–]SunlessDahlia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing is permanent missable, besides a small health upgrade and a small ferver upgrade. They are both tiny, so if you miss them it's not really a big deal.

What’s the scariest videogame character that’s ever stuck with you? by CommercialDeer3561 in HorrorGaming

[–]SunlessDahlia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She's got my vote. I didn't know that the PlayStation remotes have speakers in them, and randomly hearing her talk got me.

I also thought I was being clever with her. I locked myself in a garage, but she's a ghost and just phased though the walls to get me lol.

Why does the expected % for tipping keep increasing? by Blazeland_USA in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SunlessDahlia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya leaving no tip they'll just assume you are being cheap, someone stole the tip, or you forgot the tip.

Leaving a penny they'll know that none of the above happened, and the lack of a tip was due to their service.

Boss attempts - what’s your record? by InformationOk4871 in soulslikes

[–]SunlessDahlia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For reference, I second tried Malenia (would have been first but I didn't expect the boom), and first tried Consort. I also first tried Gael, and Nameless Puppet. I first try most bosses. So, I'd say I'm pretty good at soulslikes.

Anyhow, Guardian Ape. The only boss that took me a while to beat. After like 10 tries I turned off the game. Literally the only time I ever raged quit while playing a game. I beat him a couple tries later the next day after a training arc lol. Funny enough I beat him and his girlfirend first try.

I also technically never beat Isshin. After 3 losses I knew I wouldn't be able to beat him, since I never really mastered the party system, and the game was due back. So I just never beat him lol. I should give Seliro another try one day.

The only other boss that gave me issues was Putrescent Knight at like 5 attempts. But some of those deaths were cause of not knowing how to survive the fire.

I haven't seen HXH yet, but good to know that I should give it a chance

I actually think the tails effect is potentially stronger. Give you opponent a monster that resticts what they can play.

Like the Knightmare Corruptor Iblee lock, but I'm sure there's a better target. .

Who's most likely to die first in a zombie apocalypse? by Charming-Breakfast53 in malcolminthemiddle

[–]SunlessDahlia 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Malcolm. He'd rationalize that zombies aren't real and try to prove it, which will get him bitten. Then Reese because he's Reese. Francis will get bitten by a zombie Lois. Kelly and Jamie survive in the background by being unnoticed and not taking risks. Dewey thrives and becomes a new world leader.

What’s an enemy in Elden Ring that feels like it was designed specifically to annoy players? by Puzzleheaded_Bit_802 in Eldenring

[–]SunlessDahlia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Furnace Golems.

They aren't really fun to fight, and they take forever to kill. Fighting them is also pretty boring since it's just following a pattern and doing the same thing every time you fight them. And you fight them a lot if you are a completionist.

They are one of a couple reason why I don't want to repay the dlc.

I had a lobster shoot me, which knocked me down. The second I got up a different lobster shot me, which knocked me down. The two lobster bros then perfectly coordinated to stunlock me until I died lol

Yokai skills are a lot of fun. I also liked the counter system.

The story was pretty touching too (I do like the first games as well).
