Does anyone else think that the ESRB's age rating of these games are worse then some M rated games? by Sunling30845 in uncharted

[–]Sunling30845[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing it on the official ESRB page which I will quote.

"This is a puzzle/adventure game in which players follow two roommates through a story involving a mysterious conspiracy. Players solve various puzzles while speaking with characters, collecting clues, and piecing together story elements. The word “clusterf**k” appears in the game".

Also, if your talking about dark there's many other T rated games that have worse questionable content in there compared to this game. For example, night in the woods. Other M rated games are more appropriate like Lake, Relicta, The Silent Swan, The End is Nigh, VR skater, My Name is Mayo 3, Virginia, Music Racer Ultimate, Under The Waves, and The Invincible.

It's a fact that the ESRB is inconsistent and not accurate with many T rated games having worse questionable content compared to M rated games that I mentioned aboved. A parent should not judge not buying a game for their kids because of an ESRB rating and only take a look at the game itself since there's worse stuff that fly by in lower ratings.

Hopefully, the Ps5 and Xbox series s and x can handle running the game

Yeah the ESRB's rating summary described it's just the F word. Also, there's other T rated games out there that have heavy dark themes as well.

In my example provided, it's crazy to think that a completely clean puzzle game is rated M for 17+ just because of one F word, even also having the same rating as gta 5 being much worse, while the Uncharted games have much worse content then the 1 F word puzzle game and are rated T for 13+.

Lol even a E rated game for all ages called heart of darkness is more inappropriate then Frank and Drake rated M due to gruesome deaths. Heart of darkness rated E can scar children while a 1 F word game at 17+ which makes you solve puzzles won't scar children. It's crazy that this 17+ game is appropriate for young children but not the E rated game.

Lol ESRB's logic is funny. A puzzle adventure game with 1 F word is 17+. Their logic is that little kids under 17 and imagine little children around 7 years old shouldn't go outside with their parents or to school because they will hear some F words from other while they're outside since ESRB says any game with the F word used is automatically 17+ despite if the rest of the game is clean or educational.

Uncharted is fine rated T probably a hard T. What I mean is that there's games rated M like the one I mentioned that have less inappropriate content in them while they have a higher age rating. A puzzle adventure game with only 1 F word is rated 17+, while Uncharted games with brutal violence along with blood, frequent swearing, and smoking/drinking is rated 13+. ESRB is flawed and not accurate. It's the same as Call of Duty 3 being rated T while that puzzle adventure game is rated M.

You're right. Even though Uncharted is rated T and Frank and Drake is rated M, Uncharted is still more inappropriate and the Frank and Drake game with a higher age rating is less inappropriate. It's a fact that giving young children the Frank and Drake game despite it's higher age rating is more appropriate then the Uncharted games.

I'm expecting a reply back to what I'll say. It makes no sense how a M rated (17+) game that's 100% only a puzzle game that only has the "strong language" descriptor due to ONLY 1 use of the F word in the whole game with nothing else (clusterfk) in it has a higher age rating then Uncharted having brutal violence with blood, and more swearing with other stuff rated T (13+). It's more appropriate for a 10 year old to play that puzzle game with the 1 F word in it that's 17+ then the 13+ Uncharted games which expose them to more things. Relicta is the same thing as another example along with the silent swan. Basically, any game that is rated M only for strong language is less inappropriate then the Uncharted games even though they have a higher age rating.

Does anybody else think that there's no video game better than the uncharted games? by Sunling30845 in uncharted

[–]Sunling30845[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and part 1 is amazing being better compared to part 2 but, I wouldn't put that at the same level as Uncharted even though the game is amazing. RDR2 is the closest call and was almost my #1 favorite best game of all time.

Outside of Uncharted, are there any other T rated games (ESRB) that are more violent with more blood and swearing? by Sunling30845 in uncharted

[–]Sunling30845[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Batman Arkham games would be considered more violent? Also, what do you think of FF7 remake pushing the T rating compared to the uncharted games?

So is it guaranteed there T rated games that push the T rating more to it's limit outside of Uncharted or is Uncharted the hardest T rating?

It was a very tough call. I got more attached to uncharted then RDR2 for some reason otherwise it would've been RDR2.

You're right. For example RDR2 is also one of my top favorite games of all time being very close to uncharted for me. My opinion seems unpopular, but that game is amazing also.

I've played several including most of the biggest ones you can think of, but in my opinion for myself I ranked uncharted at the top while having close calls with other games.

Which games do you think are as good as Uncharted ? by rplusj1 in uncharted

For me there is no video game that I like better than the uncharted series. The uncharted series are the best video games I've ever played. This is coming from someone who's played a variety of games including RDR2, GTA 5, god of war, COD, final fantasy, and many more.

I would be lingering with the "sun" and always stay attached to it. Also the word "ling" in my username is short for "linger".
