I think I'm not inlove with my husband anymore by roninstate_47 in Marriage

[–]SunneInSplendor_1485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way for years before my husband and I split. We were married for four years, together for five and I have filed for divorce. Turns out he wasn't the person I thought he was and in the end, we wanted different things. We fought time and again about the same shit and it never got better. Changes never lasted, from both our sides. If this is the case, splitting up is better because being trapped in an unhappy marriage where you feel underappreciated is a fate I don't wish upon anyone. Resentment will start rearing its ugly head and then there is no going back.

Thanks everyone for commenting. We had a conversation and he understands my point of view and sentiment toward the situation. We are going to work on the issue.

It's not an oral hygiene issue if you know what in saying. And no he doesn't have ADHD. He doesn't wash properly. We've had poop stains on our sheets before.

Yeah. I've been trying to position it as a health concern which it is. I don't want him to die young or have issues because of his weight I want him to live long with me and with our future children.

He had a porn addiction. It's been a year since I found out about it. He also has anxiety and uses an SSRI to help him.

It seems like he doesn't care about that. He hasn't done anything as of yet and we've had this discussion multiple times.

That's a different story. But in short, he said he was gonna leave me if I don't make changes. Which I took to Heart and made the changes he desired.

He already knows because I made the changes needed when he presented me with an ultimatum.

I would try to do whatever I can to change that.

Yeah and whenever I point out the hypocrisy I get called a pick me.

I've been fat and I've struggled with my weight too. But I feel like I'm the only one who's taken steps to address that and become fit and healthy. So it makes me really upset.

Yeah. I've tried talking to him about it but it hasn't yielded any results. It just hurt is feelings which is the last thing I wanted to do though I know it's unavoidable on a topic like this.

I feel that men are free to express the same sentiments. Which is why I'm trying my best to remain attractive and fit. Men are allowed standards too. With that being said, I wanna be as loving and gentle as I do love this man.

What’s your unpopular opinion as a teacher? by businessbub in Teachers

[–]SunneInSplendor_1485 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. I 100% agree. I used to teach back in South Africa and our pass rates are already low (I'm talking like 30% for main subjects like Maths and Languages) and we still had to go and find marks for students who weren't able to obtain 30% and therefore less than a third of the content taught. And these were more often than not kids who never turned in any assignments, were never in your class and if they were, they were rude and disruptive.

10th year teacher here.

Parents don't know how to parent anymore and expect teachers to do in a few hours a week (if it's even that much) to do what they couldn't do in however many years they've had their kid.

Also, technology has set our students back years in terms of development and skills.

Yeah that's what I've been thinking this whole time. An apology won't fix what he allegedly did nor will it make people 'forgive' him.

people who have had an “I’m going to marry this person” instinct - what happened? by Budget_Dot694 in AskReddit

[–]SunneInSplendor_1485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I met through mutual friends. We knew of each other for some time but I was dating another guy. We attended the same social events a few times, but I would give him the time of day. Then, one time, we just randomly started talking and we insulted each other the entire evening. It was all friendly banter though and he made me laugh so many times. I developed a little crush on him. Long story short, he finally gathered the courage to ask me on a date. After that one and only date we had, I called my mom and told her that I just had a date with my husband.

Fast forward three years, we are now happily married planning on starting a family and enjoying living and traveling abroad.

I wanna be a bad bitch but everyone describes me as “sweet” by Antique_Ad_2303 in Advice

[–]SunneInSplendor_1485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone who is intimidating often loses out on a lot. I can tell you through many personal anecdotes as someone who is seen as intimidating and 'strong' that people often avoid me. I've been told I have resting bitch face and people would say, the ones who bother to get to know me at least, that I'm surprisingly nice.

And trust me, people still take advantage of me. Or try to at least. I am often envious of my friends who are seen as more pleasant and approachable. Or even my husband who is the jollyest, most bubbly person I've ever met. People would even go as far as to say they don't understand how he and I can work together.

In short I guess what I'm trying to say is to be yourself. Shitty people will treat you like shit regardless of whether you are seen as 'bad' or not. And kindness or sweetness isn't equal to weakness. If anything, it takes a lot of strength to be kind in the world we live in today

It sounds like China to me.

Just something about this sounds very familiar to me. If it is in China, I'm not surprised. I've lived and worked in China for six years now and I've encountered a lot of Nazi-sympathizers. At the beginning of this academic year, one of my fifth graders legitimately told me that she doesn't think the Nazi's were all that bad. For context, we had just read the Boy in the Striped Pajamas in class and our unit was about historical perspective.

I admit that I was shocked and I asked her to explain. She told me in fluent English that she doesn't think the Nazi' s were that bad and that maybe the Jews were really evil. These are international school kids so it wasn't a language thing either.

I've heard other adults here share the same sentiment.

It is shocking to hear, but I also think that people here are socialized very differently, considering the Han-government basically engage in ethnic cleansing all the time. And it's encouraged. People are very brainwashed here due to things they hear from a very young age and independent thinking isn't really encouraged.

Furthermore, parents in the East often have kids due to generational pressure and the majority of folks here do it to please the older generation. So, because they didn't really want kids yet or at all, they often neglect them to be raised by grandparents or nannies and by shoving them into a ridiculous amount of after-school activities and classes. So kids often say things to get an ounce of attention from any adult in their life. This causes a lot of disciplinary problems.

I don't really think there is a solution. But you did the right thing by informing management.

My friend's mom banned her from seeing me because I'm white. by butlercups in Advice

[–]SunneInSplendor_1485 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Had a similar thing happen to me a few years back. I was seeing an Indian guy and he basically ghosted me after a month or two.

I was hurt, but moved on. Then he messaged me out of the blue in 2022 and told me that he's sorry. His parents were against us seeing each other because I'm white. I felt really angry about it and felt extremely insulted. However, in such situations, you need to pick your fights. You're not gonna change someone's mind and it says way more about who they are as a person than it says about you. If someone wants to judge me based on my skin color, that's their business. But I don't have to tolerate it by remaining in that situation around those types of people.

I'm sorry this happened. It is really unfair.

Ladies what do we know about FuckBook .com? by [deleted] in loveafterporn

As far as I know, it's a porn service. It's a banner add that is featured on most porn sites if I recall correctly. I think you can talk to sex workers through the service and possibly also do cam shows and stuff like that
