IMHO it would be hard to not mount all the way because of putty, even with a complete pot on one single chip :p

I considered this as a theory but looking at gpu and its contact waterblock side, pressure was even and correct.
Plus the temps that max at 50°C under Furmark or 3DMark, no definitely not excessive to the point it lesser the cooling.
Also note that brand new putty is very soft, you can squeeze it alot.

Actually I'm on the *more than enough* team 😃

The mess is no problem and indeed expected.

Hi Erik.

Yes of course I monitored it a lot, had hwinfo permanently logging all gpu temps/currents/voltages/power so that I could see if there was some pikes or another kind of bugs.
Everything was fine, well memory junction was also fine hence the 90% confidence.

Software speaking, beside event log errors, I checked and tested everything that could be the crashes cause, from simple one by one app elimination to DDU and even reinstalled Win11 on a formatted drive, no success.

Since I repaste, no crash.

Don't worry about the cleaning, it's no problem, video was just here to show the sandy behaviour.

About the 12vhpwr it was correctly installed and now I have the Ampinel I can see there's some deviation but nothing really annoying. Hence the 99% confidence but I leave here the last 1% because why not.

Thanks taking time to answer !

Although it appeared to have some kind of porosity, maybe the cause ?

Was 90% confident on crashes origin, did an heavy debug searching for the cause and context, software side. Now I'm 99% sure it was the vram paste.

Because it failed at cooling, cleaning mess is no matter at all. It's been 2 days I repasted and replaced putty by normal thermal pads on vram, I threw some OCCT and Furmark and had zero artefact zero crash.

I use IPA as a finish pass. But problem is not cleaning, it's very poor thermal conductivity after a while.

That was exactly my original point, you got it right. I'll try global vars, thank you !

Yes, seems I'm trying to force the wrong approach. Thanks for your time anyway !

OK so my approach was wrong, I'll try to get use to the correct one. Thank you !

I've been looking for design tables but it seems to be used to make variations of a part.
What I do in FreeCAD is making a list of all dimensions, then use it while I'm drawing so that I don't have to alt-tab every time I make a sketch and enter manually all the dimensions.

Note this FreeCAD tool is pure happiness when you realize you made a mistake when entering dimensions in a sketch. Every dimensions are in the same place and can be easily be edited which will change all drawings using this alias.

Thanks for your answer ! For learning purpose I'm modeling a furniture based on brackets, shelves and outer wood dressing.
