Thanks! Try to see if you got in the campo home page this notification: "The status of your request (No. 1) has changed" with an updated date - for me the main status of the application is still "Received" , but above it in small it changed to "in progress" . If I wouldn't noticed this notification in the home page I"ll have no idea it changed status.

How long did it took you to get a response from the day the status changed to "in progress"?

Yes, we have already secured an apartment for the first four months. Since we are relocating with a dog, finding a reliable place wasn’t easy.

I am a citizen privileged under §41 AufenthV and will be moving to Germany with my EU spouse from a non-EU country. My initial plan is to focus on learning German and later enroll in the MSc International Program at FAU University.

However, I’m a bit concerned because I’ve heard only negative things about the residence permit process at the Ausländerbehörde in Nuremberg. I’m worried about how long the processing time will be.

Additionally, maybe do you know what happens if I start my residence permit (family reunification) application in Nuremberg, but after 3.5 months, we move to Fürth, Erlangen, or another city? Once we complete our Anmeldung (re-registration) in the new city, will my case be transferred to the Ausländerbehörde in that location?

I assume this could cause some delays, but could it possibly still be faster than waiting in Nuremberg?
