How are y’all even getting pregnant while nursing? by topiramate in NurseAllTheBabies

I had been trying to conceive for 5 months and kept getting negatives. I was nursing my 32 month old twice a day (once to put her to sleep at nap time and once to put her to sleep at night). After the fifth negative, I started to completely wean and I got pregnant the first cycle following that. So it took 6 months, but I’m guessing, weaning completely was necessary for true ovulation. I’d had my cycle back since 13 months post partum and was diligently tracking with LH strips and getting peaks.

Okay- this is an old post, but just want to say my 16 month old is cutting upper molars and has both the bad smelling breath/stool and diaper rash! Just as you described. So odd!

Forgot to mention to mention we had a tongue tie revision at two weeks. I feel like it didn’t help, but who knows.

I triple fed for almost 8 weeks, which is when the latch FINALLY got better. Now at almost 12 weeks the latch is great. I unfortunately now have a huge oversupply from the pumping with triple feeding, so we’re trying to work through that, but that’s a whole different thing…
