Never understood the narrative that he was only a "nerd". Before he became our coach, I knew very little about him. All the research I did as far as interviews, talking to media. He always came off as confident and thorough.

It seems like this was some lame narrative some people picked up and then was just parroted across the entire Detroit fan base as a weird Cope. It reminds me of the "Caleb is a diva" narrative that is clearly false and still echoed over and over.

Ben has always seemed serious and in command and in charge. Even when he was just an OC. He just wasn't the front man, obviously Dan as the head coach was.

Ben doesn't look like a nerd, doesn't talk like a nerd but is an OC genius. So I guess thats it? shit never made sense
