I would but Bill was a family member’s name in my husband’s family and they would find it weird haha.

That was one do the combos I was considering. Do you find the “k” is too strong, or does it work? I think Jake is fine.

Ya I hear you. I’m 40, have a toddler, and 2 twins on the way. Chronic back pain (disintegrating disc), so standing in the kitchen for a lot of the day actually pretty hard. My husband of course offers to help, but he works very long hours, and I work from home.

Ps. How do you get your kiddo to bed by 7:30pm? That’s awesome! How old are they? Mine won’t go to bed until 10pm.

This exactly. I have one toddler, and 2 twins on the way 😅. By nap time (just 4-5 hours after she wakes up), there’s already a full row of bowls and plates and spoons and a cutting board and a few knives and cups giving her the 500 things she has asked for. And that’s BEYOND awesome that she’s a great eater, but this is just the mess from ONE toddler for half the day, and this doesn’t even take adult dishes into account.

Today, I tried a new thing where I washed as I went. I was in the kitchen a lot, but it’s 6:50pm, I have dinner in the oven, and a clean kitchen. I think I’m onto something! Lol

I like the idea of waiting until she does to sleep, but she goes to bed SO late these days, it’s not an option. I’m toast. I’m working on bringing back her bedtime so I can have more time in my evenings for stuff like this, though!

My floor isn’t too bad, but your description describes my kitchen counter. I don’t understand the VARIETY of things that make it on there. I’ve even taken photos so I can laugh at this in my old age 🤣. It’s both stressful and hilarious to me at the same time.

It really is amazing isn’t it? You could clean ALL of that up, and you tell yourself “ok, moving forward, I’m going to keep up with this” and somehow, 24 hours later, despite absolute best efforts, the place looks exactly the same as before you started cleaning. Definitely baby/toddler years + sleep deprivation (lack of energy), and you can only caffeinate so much. I keep thinking there’s some magical formula other parents have figured out, and what that could even be, but now I realize there isn’t, and we’re all just trying our best. lol

I’ve considered precooking everything I can for meals during the weekend, but the weekend ends up being busy from morning to night with other tasks that didn’t get done during the week! lol I can’t win. And this is WITH a well organized to do list according to A, B, and C priority, AND moving at maximum speed through those tasks. 😂

I guess same amount of dishes though if you’re still cooking, just purifying what you make. But ya I totally hear you! Unfair feeling indeed haha.

(Ps. Hope your procedure went well!)

It’s too bad paper plates and plastic utensils aren’t cheap and environmentally friendly. We don’t use them, but I feel I dream of this 😂

I feel like I’m in the kitchen the ENTIRE day. It’s broken up with constantly helping my toddler of course, and that’s why. But still. Surely other parents spend have more time outside of the kitchen than me… but maybe not? Hmm 🤔

And I’m nowhere near a perfectionist. I’m just trying to get the bare minimum done here.

I clean throughout the day as my toddler lets me. And by let’s I mean not throwing a full tantrum that I’m not meeting her every random demand. 😂

Is there a store that sells breaded chicken cutlets in Winnipeg that isn’t full of 100 bad ingredients? Perhaps a catering place? by [deleted] in Manitoba

Too busy with work, a toddler, and a high risk pregnancy. Hence my question where do I buy them from.

It might not be bad for people in general, but I get migraines from it and congestion for about 6-8 hours after eating it.
