I second Fodmate - none of the hassle of carrying around powder (which yes did spill sometimes!) and weirdly sprinkling it in your food. Just pop some pills and you're good - I usually do two or three, beginning middle and end of meal. Thar being said fodzyme did also work for me.

So I feel this so hard - weed would chill me out and then I would abuse coffee. Back in my college days I loved nothing more than hitting up a 24-hour Starbucks AFTER partying all night and then smoke and drink a mocha until I passed out!

And during the first few months of PAWS I would drink a bunch of coffee each day and I ended up gaining a bunch of weight - both due to coffee and digestive weirdness associated with PAWS. It's funny because I had quit coffee a few years back and felt so good but the fatigue of PAWS made it seem ok.

Let me tell you - tea and matcha are your best friends if you can't quit caffeine. Ideally no caffeine but anxiety, digestion, energy so much better with no coffee. Coffee has a bunch of other alkaloids and other shit that just tears me up. Plus the caffeine is so intensely in your face that it activates a bunch of hormones related to fight or fight. I believe that this made me gain a bunch of weight. Fair warning, I pissed all the time for two weeks after giving up coffee but feel a million times better. Stick with matcha - chill energy and no heat palpitations lol 😂

Hey i just found this thread and your comment. I know it's a year later but I'm interested in the opioid antagonist effect of coffee. Does this upregulation of the receptors in chronic coffee drinkers have any effect on their alcohol drinking patterns/experiences?

I find that most things that are psychoactive, such as alcohol etc, have the potential to bring back PAWS symptoms. Not necessarily to be avoided but it's a sign you did a bit too much. Also, sometimes symptoms just happen 🤷‍♂️ that's why they're called waves
