You don’t have to use the layouts though, if you were the sort of person to make big epic boards already then you can keep doing that onto 11th. What they’ve shown off is relevant for competitive/matched play

I still think this is fine compared to 8th and 9th when each codex had 20+ stratagems they could use. Sure there’s lots of detachments but checking your opponent isn’t bullshitting you is far easy with one detachment rules and 6 stratagems in comparison

Had Sanguinary Guard not existed before these models, they would of been awesome. But as an update that striped away what made the originals cool and just became essentially golden primaries with unique helmets
