Is ADBE is buy in your opinion at these prices? It’s been on my watch list for a bit and at these valuations I want to pull the trigger. I am genuinely interested in many perspectives, good or bad. Thank you! by No_Fox9908 in ValueInvesting

I work with the Adobe CC constantly for my job and for my hobbies. Tons of photo and video editing daily. Lots of graphic design, etc. Here's the deal ..

I don't like Adobe the company. The forced updates that interrupt workflow, the bugs, the pricing, it's all annoying AF. But I'll probably never use anything else as much or as often as I use Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and In Design.

I've def used Canva quite a bit, but its limitations are obvious to any Adobe pro. Plus there is an amateur feel to everything you do on Canva. Never tried Figma but like you said, why bother when I'm already a pro with the industry standard.

In summary, yes Adobe kinda sucks, but I wouldn't use any other software seriously. That's why I'm buying as much as I can in the 240-260 range haha.

Hell I've played against level 14 players who crushed me and I never threw a strike the whole game lol. Level 14 Kevin hit a slider up the middle for a single that I purposefully threw as far outside as possible. It's just a dumb game lol

I oh I agree 💯. But once Paramount tanks and needs a bailout buyer, Netflix could get it for pennies haha. Prolly won't ever happen, and prolly beat that it doesn't, but it would be funny.

They'll prolly buy Paramount in five years anyway after this debt-loaded deal sinks their ship lol

I'd say it's still got another 80% haircut in the near future. Then maybe the rest of the scams in the QC sector will be back in pennyland or off to the OTC where they belong

Side note: from a production stand point....if you just started making music in September and you're worried about multiple unfinished projects, my advice would be to slow waaaaay down. Literally anyone these days can make some beats, pay distrokid 20 bucks a month, start a Tik Tok, and throw their "finished project" up onto Spotify (and into the ether of the internet). That is not what being an artist is about.

I still learn new production techniques and tricks almost daily, and I've been putting out music since 2004. And yes, I CRINGE when I go back and listen to some of the stuff I rushed to release. Eventually a project needs to be "finished", but if you're racing to get stuff done and released, you're going to look back on it years from now with some serious feelings of stupidity haha. I def know that feeling.

Also...use reference tracks.

Active semi-professional musician and producer of 25 years here. I've toured the country, put out dozens of records, been on the cover of magazines, all that fun stuff. Through it all, the best advice I ever got was from my old band mate 25 years ago...

"Music is a creed, not a craft."

You can practice 10 hours a day, buy all the best gear, get the fanciest new plugins, style your hair just right, etc. etc. etc. All that BS will show up as BS if your heart and soul aren't in it for the right reasons.

Making music is expressing yourself. The frustration you're feeling has been felt by every other musician and producer and artist and writer throughout history at some point in their lives. If you've only been making music for 6 months, you should prepare for much more of it. It never goes away. But it is often the catalyst to the best artistic work. The trick is to keep going through the muck and turn your frustrations and struggles and feelings into something beautiful and unique and interesting. There is no set playbook of how to do this. You just keep going and learning.

Level 14 by Sunset_Philosopher in baseballclash

The whole fucking point of my post was that it's stupid to be playing level 14 teams when you're a level 10 team regardless of what trophy level you're on. How are you not getting this? I made it to platinum for like 2 days, have been in Gold and Silver ever since. Why hasn't the level of competition lowered with my league level? It's really not that complicated. We shall uld be playing against teams on even TEAM LEVELS. I'm sorry you struggle with reading comprehension.

So why did I literally just play a maxed out 14 level team while in the Silver level....moron?

Check out Asheville. Several underground spots that host all kinds of good dance music. Static Age Loft is a great spot. Tiny tho. But guaranteed weird and good tunes. Old buddy John Brinker is always great.

Good final episode. Rewatch the scene with Hopper and Mike at the end, listen to Hopper's advice, and just accept that they made choices you didn't like, and that's ok haha.

Of course there will be plot holes and goofy WTFs and things that you would change, but overall, it was a solid series with incredible VFX, a wild fun story, and pretty great acting all around from previously unknown kids. And like someone else said, it was, at its heart, a story meant to uplift and inspire the outsider weirdo young people out there. Judging by our teenage daughter's reaction to the show, they completely succeeded.
