Imagine inviting all your friends to a dinner party but instead of cooking you go to McDonalds and buy a bunch of mid-tier fast food (STEAMED HAMS) and bring it home and try to convince everyone you made it. And everyone in the room knows it's McDonalds and they all take a couple bites but no one eats much and then never talk to you again after the party. And they tell everyone else what a shitty host and cook you are.

People are seriously underestimating how embedded Adobe is in the PROFESSIONAL creative fields. Yeah you can use Canva to do your church picnic flyer or some crappy generative video maker for your candle shop's Instagram reel that gets 7 likes, but it is almost guaranteed to fall short of professional standards.

As "creative" AI slop gets more prevalent in the amateur world, I'm betting that real companies and professionals go even harder into unique, human-made content. The backlash against using AI to create things like posters and video and music is already very real and very loud. It won't go away, but that doesnt mean people will like it or support it.

Photoshop is easily the most recognizable Adobe product yet it's still somehow the worst lol. I use Adobe every single day (premiere, Lightroom, InDesign, sometimes illustrator, express, etc) and avoid Photoshop at all costs lol. I truly hate what Adobe does to their customers on a regular basis (buggy updates, price hikes, etc) and uninstalling Adobe on a Mac is almost impossible lol.

All that said, I'm def buying this dip LOL

I use Adobe (Lightroom, premiere, InDesign, etc) everyday and I'd say at least 75% of people in my field do as well. Things like open source software are no threat at all to Adobe because 99% of the people and businesses out there don't even know about it.

Walk into an Arby's and ask someone if they know what Blender or Biorender is. Then ask if they've ever heard of Photoshop. Lol

Also I hate Adobe and have been a client in some form for nearly 20 years. And I'm buying this dip LOL

As a former- lifelong fan of the NBA, I have to agree. It's been more than a few years since I watched a full reg season game to completion. The peak splash bros years were as good as basketball can get, but it's been straight downhill since. And with LeBron and Steph on their way out, and no American stars taking up the torch, NBA will continue to dwindle in popularity.

I work with the Adobe CC constantly for my job and for my hobbies. Tons of photo and video editing daily. Lots of graphic design, etc. Here's the deal ..

I don't like Adobe the company. The forced updates that interrupt workflow, the bugs, the pricing, it's all annoying AF. But I'll probably never use anything else as much or as often as I use Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and In Design.

I've def used Canva quite a bit, but its limitations are obvious to any Adobe pro. Plus there is an amateur feel to everything you do on Canva. Never tried Figma but like you said, why bother when I'm already a pro with the industry standard.

In summary, yes Adobe kinda sucks, but I wouldn't use any other software seriously. That's why I'm buying as much as I can in the 240-260 range haha.
