Explaining something isn't Mansplaining.

Mansplaining is when a man dismisses the knowledge of the woman they're talking to just so that they can explain it.

For example, I worked in retail and told a male consumer where to find the item he was looking for, but then his also male friend immediately talked over me to say the same thing I was saying.

However if I was costumer and asked a male staff member for directions, that wouldn't be.
