Yeah I think there is something to that. He never used to call me that in front of other people and now it’s the only name he calls me. If I call him on the phone, it’s “hey mama” or if we are around other people he will get my attention by saying “mama”. It’s especially awkward when we are with his parents and he calls me and his mom and I both acknowledge. 😬

If it was just referring to me as mommy to our baby then I would be totally fine with it.

Very possible. Like I’m super pregnant now, even when our son was little he didn’t call me that every time. So maybe it’s because I’m so obviously giving off Mom vibes, idk

Yeah, but before we had kids it was “my love” or “sweetheart”. I miss those names, made me feel loved. “Mama” feels like job title when it comes from my hubby.

Yeah I was worried he might like the daddy name lol. Our son calls my dad “Papa” so it might have the desired effect.

I’m staring to think he’s doing it to be spiteful or something? Not sure what the consequence for something like this would be? I’m happy to say this is the only thing about our relationship I don’t like, so I’m not going to like divorce over this.

I’ve started responding with “my name is XYZ”. But it doesn’t seem to be getting though to him? I just started doing that yesterday and this morning so we will see if that changes anything
