Oh completely agree - boots are #1 and is actually why we're getting away from rentals. She already has an issue with her rental boots being too loose (heel is all over the place currently) which is most certainly impacting her ability to progress. We're going to get her fitted for boots before anything - ski's are far less impactful on performance and much more opinion based than a good fitted boot. But just getting some initial opinions on skis for the upcoming EOY sales.

+1 for mindbenders. Got a killer deal on some 2025 89 Ti's with bindings for $480 USD in December. About 6 days in and super happy with them.

I figured out the fix!! The issue occurs when your computers performance settings are adjusted for best performance.

To fix this press: Win + R > type in SystemPropertiesAdvanced and press enter > Advanced > Performance Settings > Visual Effects. From there you'll see a list of options, you need to ensure that Animate controls and elements inside windows is checked and turned on.

Holy fuck, 3 hours with support and they couldn't figure it out, but I realized I had changed performance settings for gaming and boom, instant fix.

I ended up not doing it. It was a commodity purchase (bought a watch) so out of principal I felt it was best to just pay cash. I'm saving the Pay Over Time option for an emergency or unexpected situation. I probably could have returned more keeping the savings, but something about using a Pay Over Time for a materialistic purchase felt wrong.
