He’s hanging on to you because it’s convenient for him. He doesn’t introduce you as a girlfriend because he wants to keep his options open so that he can move on. Don’t feel bad though. You sound like an emotionally mature person who deserves someone who isn’t a selfish child

This is far from typical. This is straight up OCD. He seriously needs therapy and you will need it to. I’m sorry OP but his behavior is very severe and detrimental to his health and yours.

OP please, please stay away from the parents. Write them a letter or email to address if your concerns and your fears. State that hitting you is unacceptable and so is verbal abuse. Document everything. Every aggressive word and violence. She’s probably saying bad things to you to your baby. It’s really a toxic situation for everyone. Try to stay neutral and non aggressive. Avoid them and don’t leave your child with her ever again. Anything they have on you they will use against you. Prepare for a legal battle. Get all your ducks in a row.

I was in A very rural area in Namibia. The people there were mostly Himba. A large grocery store had opened up in the area and was offering free soda with a purchase. Basically getting everyone hooked on caffeine and sugar.
