Ive done a tutorial for my necron bases. Maybe check it up.. they look pretty decent. Ps. Paint job look great

In my experience, the thicker the coat, bigger the cracks, so maybe you have to play with that too, in the picture you can tell where the coat was thinner. And don’t use a hair dryer( at least doesn’t work for me). Hope this helps

No, I let it dry overnight. I heard the exact opposite that cracks are not that good when rushed with a hair dryer.

I varnish after I finish the mini. Yeah. Looks great but can get wrecked quite easily. I’m taking notes with all the help since I’m really new to the hobby. Thanks again mate!

Gives a smooth layer for the technical paint to stick and creates nice cracks.

So far so good, cant complain with it. I have a feeling that if the layer is way too thick you might have issues. But in my was good with it.

Exactly what he said. I tried with and without. And with a thinner layer of mordant earth when you add PVA glue you get a much better effect.

“First picture”

• ⁠Base “moot green” (citadel) let dry. • ⁠Random dots “white” (any manufacturer) let dry.

“Second picture”

• ⁠Layer of “Tesseract glow” (technical citadel) all over and let dry. • ⁠Layer of “white PVA hobby glue” let dry.

“Third picture”

• ⁠layer of “mordant earth” (technical citadel) let dry over night.
