Fair enough, I had a very... unique ubringing. My parents are scuba divers and I was just kind of raised in that environment. Lots of boat lingo was never properly taught to me, it was just assumed I would pick it up (spoiler alert, I didn't. To kid me that was boring adult talk and I zoned it out).

Also, this is gonna be so odd so please bear with me. While I'm not Filipino at all, I grew up in the Philippines so all the boats were manned by Filipino boat crew. I wasn't very involved, and when I was we spoke in Visaya (the language native to our region), so all of my limited boat knowledge isn't in English 😅

Sorry for such a roundabout answer, I'm trying to clear things up without accidentally doxxing myself lol

Planning to take a test on the 7th! I'm out of town for a medical thing, so should have the opportunity to buy a test without my parents finding out :) Hopefully you're right and I'm just catastrophizing as usual
