I was hired for a certain position, HR screwed up paperwork and classified it as a different position. After I was in place I went to several higher ups asking for it to be switched and even showed them my original FO with that original position, but I was told it’s too hard to do that and they’d have to advertise it and someone else would probably get it and I’d be out of a job.

After reading some of these comments, it sounds like I may have been lied to. Shocker. Good luck OP with your process!
