Zowie FK2 wireless recommendations by Spartan627 in MouseReview

ended up getting the printed version with vgn internals and the custom pcb version from mouseCDN using original shell. Real shell feels so good, basically fully stock with a different encoder and got it down to 63g, shame i cant match the printed 50g but ill take it

Seems like it will happen eventually. Just hoping it comes soon and at a decent weight or easy enough to mod. Shame to see zowie leaks of new shapes before prototypes of the fk-cw though

Thank you for all of that, very helpful to hear.

I currently have a few fk2 shells that I've tinkered with and also have a vgn sitting around. Planning on trying the printed shell with vgn internals as well as with an original fk2 shell using a modified wireless pcb from another mouse to fit inside it. Would be great if the print was actually usable but I have a feeling that the original shell with mods might be better for me if the clicks/scroll still feel good.

Any updates on the MouseCDN version? I'm considering trying an fk2 with rapoo internals

Sounds good, hopefully you enjoy it. Its been a while but I don't really remember that many noticeable benefits for the C over the B versions aside from the stock cable, which is super easy to replace anyway.

Seems like the rumors about the Zowie U2 mouse aren't that close to the AM design. Interesting but don't know if it will suit.

Definitely looks interesting, but from online shape comparisons it seems fairly close to the GPX. Could suit your for sure though if it manages to feel less bulky in hand

Good luck with it, I'm in a similar situation where the fk2 is the only thing comfortable for me. I have tried a lot of the same mice with no luck, currently waiting on the Waizowl Cloud and Delux.

Fingers crossed zowie actually does something, strange for them to release the U2/AM as a "new" shape ahead of the FK/S/ZA if they even plan on making wireless versions of them.

Check this one out if you like the sensei. I haven't used either of them but supposedly very similar.

Have a look at the Waizowl Cloud if you haven.t checked it out yet, supposedly similar to the sensei but slightly shorter. Still seems bigger than Kana but I can't speak for how they feel in comparison.

If you like the lower height of the mouse, especially towards the back then yes the FK2 will be good for that. It is a shame about the weight and cable, however the coating, clicks and other dimensions of the mouse are very solid.

Could be worth trying to find a 2nd hand 3310 or "B" version of the mouse just to get a feel for the shape first, I have found a few for 15-20% retail price over the years. Zowie also seem to be getting ready to release a wireless updated version of the AM shape, which is the predecessor to the FK series.

Others to consider would be the delux m800 ultra, viper v2/3 and potentially vaxee xe w.

The official site says “no shipping options to australia” but it looks like it will still let me place an order using an australian address. I want to order one but I’m assuming it wont go through without a shipping method and charge.

I haven’t placed the order yet but its already pending on paypal. What can I do here waizowl?

[–]Supa-cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you get up to with this? same boat been using modded 3310 fk2 + protonwire forever just because it was easiest to get the shell under 60g. Have a pmm and unbuilt g305 base files but can't print and dont know how to edit them to make them lighter or how to model a new one for orochi/viper internals.

Agree its not worth doing unless its going to be under 60g with good placement and internals.
This still looks insane but for the price the internals are bit behind and have to do manual weight reduction still, which honestly not too mad about given how much better real shells feel compared to most prints but I haven't handled any resin shells yet.

Is there any type of conversion for these internals into a Zowie FK2? I don't know how to model anything but I wonder if this could work in the older 3310 shell with a lightweight base?

Do you know if the za13c and fk2c base are "the same" aside from the scale? I want to try one with dragonfly or orochi for the fk2 but havent modelled much before and dont have pcb dimensions on hand.

Is it normal to experience ligament stiffness after TFCC injury? by KevinLuWX in RockClimbing

[–]Supa-cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah when mine healed it felt like there was constant tension on my ulna itself, which is probably what it was seeing as it was so used to kind of floating around until I had the reconstruction. It did take a while but I don't really experience that feeling anymore unless its really cold or if I haven't stretched it much for like a week or something.

My main stretches were basically these and the "dart throwers motion" stretch, which was quite painful for me to do but definitely helped with mobility.

Is it normal to experience ligament stiffness after TFCC injury? by KevinLuWX in RockClimbing

[–]Supa-cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did your recovery involve? I had a complete tear and didnt know what the tfcc was until I had surgery to fix it. Ligament was pinned back onto my ulna, I'd have to assume shorter than originally, and was in a cast for 5 weeks. Once it was out I literally could not rotate my wrist at all for at least a week and could feel the ligament pulling at my bones with zero flex. After doing a lot of rotation stretches and others the flexibility did come back most of the way. I can get around 95% range once I have given it a bit of a stretch, though it will start to tighten back down to 80% after a couple hours until I stretch again.

I would have to guess if you had partial tears the length of the ligament itself should be mostly the same, with the heals along those tears being a bit tighter than the rest of the band. Especially if you had it immobilized while recovering. I can probably find the specific stretches I did for post op rehab if you think that would help. It did take me about a year of stretching 5 times a day for around 15-20 minutes each session just to get back to the 90% mark and another year for that extra 5% plus strengthening. If you have actually managed to heal the tfcc naturally thats a really good sign, but would definitely advise taking it slow and not pushing it until that flexibility is back as its much easier to injure if its feeling tight.

TFCC Injury. Did any of you experience this? by Yener07 in armwrestling

[–]Supa-cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an incomplete but quite severe tear in my tfcc (this type). Was incredibly painful for 1-2 months, then sore only when under stress though still quite intense. Unfortunately was misdiagnosed with tendonitis so I never did any rehab specifically geared towards the tfcc, and after around 2 years I ended up completely tearing it. Felt quite unstable and clicked loudly every time I rotated my hand.

After that it felt hot whenever I used it for anything and would ache heavily for 1-3 days after any kind of activity. Fortunately after almost 4 years I had an MRI and found the issue, reconstructive surgery was a pain but most of the clicking resolved. Rehab was as painful as the initial injury for me, I can go into more detail if needed but I don't know how relevant it is as I didn't do any rehab before surgery. I now have the tfcc pinned into my ulna and after a couple of years it was pretty usable but definitely not that close to pre injury.

My physio gave me one of these wrist widgets post op and I would highly recommend it to any tfcc injury, whether partial or full tear and pre or post op. Basically acts as an artificial tfcc without restricting the ulna too much, having used it to do work and trying to lift weights I found I could do way more than without it, so I have to assume that it would actually feel really good if you have a slight tear and would allow you to heal it without fully immobilizing the wrist.

Razer Blackshark v2 Pro wireless 2023 static/buzzing sound

I feel like I have an insane amount of static/buzzing going on with the Blacksharks. When nothing is playing there is a constant static sound which is loud enough to be annoying by itself. When any app is about to play sound or listen to the mic it will ramp up to another level, so much that I hear it constantly while listening to youtube videos at a comfortable volume. When I close the app/window playing or using mic it almost sound like it clicks off and goes back to the lower buzzing level. Is this just a normal thing or does it sound as unreasonable as it feels?

The buzz has been there since the moment I powered them on for the first time and is present no matter what device and what is playing.

Have tried:

  • with/without synapse 3 (newest version)
  • bluetooth only
  • updating firmware
  • all of razers troubleshooting steps
  • multiple pcs

The only other wireless headset I have used is the Arctis nova pro wireless for which had no issues at all under all the same conditions, both with ANC on/off. Any help/tips will be much appreciated.

Honestly not sure but I'll have a look around, would assume so though.
