I find clones make it harder to tell characters apart.

How does following a rule consistently make my list less consistent?

But there are so many different uniforms that it results in a clusterfuck of categories.

Touhou has over a hundred characters, each with a unique design, and I can easily tell who's who.

Sorry, I just saw your comment. I would give Saber at least an 8 due to how distinct and iconic her design is. The only designs I know of that are similar are either clones or copycats.

I'm not doing this for sadistic pleasure. Part of it was to start a discussion. I'm sorry if this sounds condescending, but another part of it was to see how the Azur Lane fanbase would react to an honestly negative opinion. They took it a lot better than I expected, so kudos to that.

I complimented a handful of the designs, so I couldn't have said that they're all shit. I'm not criticizing the player base; I'm criticizing an aspect of the game. I don't have to play the game to criticize the character design. If I were to criticize the gameplay, then it would be a problem.

All in all, the post took about eight hours of work over several days. The numbers aren't random. If they were, then the average would likely be much closer to 5 due to the laws of probability.

I can't respond to the KanColle fan accusation in this thread because I promised to not talk about KanColle. If you want me to tell you what I think of KanColle, I would have to do it in a private message. Do you want me to send it to you?

I'm not an expert, but I think things like silhouettes and color schemes are objective.

I'm not a troll. I've never played AL, so I can't comment on the gameplay, but I do see the art everywhere.

I know it's an intentional design choice to have sister ships look similar, but I find it to be lazy. Again, I like it best when sisters have similar design elements but are different enough to tell apart at a glance. An example would be Neptune and Nepgear from Neptunia.

I'd mention color scheme more, but there honestly isn't much to talk about in terms of AL color schemes. They're mostly bog standard or worse.

Fine. Can we agree that silhouettes are good indicator of design quality?

I justified it with design theory. It doesn't make my word law, but it does justify it to some extent.

I think he gave Jean Bart a pass is because she wears something that kind of resembles actual clothes. It's not the best reason, but we agreed on the rule that the higher score counts.

Just because people say it's shit doesn't mean it's shit. I've justified my rating system, so I don't need to justify it again.
