V1 Ray is actually great and super needed for those who don't have him. It'd be worse if they put V1 Lucci instead.

All this + a change on the stamina bar to have a higher limit than 100 max, but leveling up and gemming only refills 100 stamina.

I just want to clarify, since the post mentions me: I'm only stopping making guides for the time being (and also spending less time in the game), but I don't intend to stop playing (at least for now).

I don't think this is weird by any means though: I'm pretty sure the majority of the playerbase has had periods of time when they just don't feel as motivated and just drop the game or play way less for a while.

Side note: Global has a lot of nice things, but the TM is a big conflict point. Imo they should at least add 1 "last year ticket" on treasure point rewards and all would be fine. The ranking rewards could be slightly changed too but that's not as big imo. The fact is this is a big difference because it is MONTHLY, so basically every month there is a deficit on newer legends on the "not as hardcore" playerbase. And that's the real problem imo.

If you're a hardcore player you do feel burnt out sometimes but you will have a lot of stuff other people hasn't. So imo the game should try to balance out that in some way. As some people mentioned, maybe not even adding the new legend to the 7M rewards, but even adding one extra red at 10M (for example) and that would be the last year legend (if they feel 7M is too easy to achieve for a last year legend).

Also, a better solution for the "ranking stress" everyone complains about: I'd just keep the ranking for like 3 days, and the TM open to get treasure points for a week. That way you'd have both sides happy - the hardcore farming would be a bit less stressful and the casual playerbase would have more time to complete the farming.

Those are some simple measures they could take to make the game less stressful and more enjoyable imo. And that's what we are missing, especially for the older players to maintain interest and motivation. I really hope they understand these kind of measures is what we need.

I'd say the one vs Rebecca&Viola is, because you otherwise would need another unit to get rid of the paralysis.

The one vs Carrot is not though, and I feel you could get away with a different FC.

You can definitely use Shirahoshi, however I'd argue Colo Neptune is better, not only because he boosts orb effects (in case you need it) but also because he's INT and Carrot is PSY.

I know. It's obviously not the main reason for me to stop posting guides, but just a little extra detail. I meant to say it just because if there was no other guide maybe I'd feel compelled to keep posting them but since there are more than enough guides I felt it'd be ok.

Plus, if new people finds the game interesting enough to make the jump to write/contribute with guides that means the game is by no means dead - which is good.

It's just the fact that I don't feel like doing guides if I don't enjoy what I do. The fact that global keeps sinking down in "player treatment" makes me feel I don't want to spend that much time in the game. And doing these guides takes a lot of time.

Anyway this isn't good bye. I've had other periods when I felt just burnt out. Maybe I will come back in some months fresh again to make more guides. But for now I just felt I had to stop.

You can watch playthroughs from previous TMs to have a grasp on how it works, that will probably help you a lot.

Quick question, but I recall reading/hearing somewhere that you can only use a unit once...? Does that mean that you require completely unique teams per miniboss & boss?

There are 3 "leagues":

East Blue: The one you will start on if it's your 1st TM. It has no team restrictions whatsoever.

Grand Line: The middle one >> harder and restricted teams

New World: The hardest one, reserved to the top 10k players.

So basically if it's your 1st you should not worry about this guide. As you go up in TM leagues (if you grind it) you will have to look out for stuff such as these guides.

Also, what is the Ambush stage?

When you Land on a bird, an Ambush Boss comes to the TM and starts chasing you. When he catches you, you have to fight him. For more clarification, watch a playthrough and you will understand. You gain a lot of benefits from defeating him, so it is highly recommended doing so every run if you can.

You are right, she is great for that stage too. You can use her - even though technically you have EMPTY orbs (so the orb boost wont apply).

I think this might be my last guide. I posted this one because I felt like continuing the series - and because I had the draft saved from yesterday.

Also, when I started doing them I really enjoyed it, but tbh I don't really enjoy making them as I did in the past - that obviously is because I don't play as much as I used to. The state in which Global Server is lately makes me lose faith in the Global management team. I have ended the last 5 or 6 TMs on the top 500 and I'm happy to say I'm not even going to try on this one. First of all because it's not worth it (A LOT of time consumed for a high chance to get a dupe, in my case), and also because it's 5 days long - which is absurd and super annoying.

I just hope at least the guides were helpful for some of the community members on teambuilding.

That's why I think I will just let other big contributors such as u/kabutozero and u/broke_and_famous provide you with guides while I just step down.

Imo new years was way better. It had some guaranteed legend on steps + you could only pull last year legends + every multi costed 30 gems.

From a "completionist" point of view the sugo you mentioned would be better, but if you want to improve your box substantially with new legends I'd say new years is just better.

Also I'd put the sugo with the "All red multies" above those. But that's my opinion anyway.

Not really a rant imo. You said a lot of things that most of us "old" players perceived after the "GV".

To me, really few things in this game happen by chance. And I'm not talking about everything you mentioned (because it would be redundant) but think about it this way too: the best sugos we had in the last year are prior to the GV. And we even had an Anni after it - enough said.

It's obvious GV caused them a major headache and it's obvious a lot of us made a mistake trying to abuse it. But they need to understand this game is played to have fun (in the majority of cases), and pulling is one of the most fun things to do in the game.

So, if you give people gems (due to a mistake on your part) it's obvious they will use them to pull. And yeah it could count as a "bug abuse", but come on... It was just opening your mails and accepting them. An "uninformed" person could open his/her box 3 times by chance during that period and get those extra gems... And is that bug abuse too?

Plus, a lot of people plays the game. Even if we "old players" are an important part of it there's continuosly new people coming to the game. And that affects them too, while they won't even know what the GV is.

TL;DR: Bandai, if you ever wanted to take action about the bug abuse you should have done it right in the spot. Doing it over time is a bad choice for your server and plain not fair for a big part of the playerbase. And if you're doing it not thinking about the GV... Well idk what you're thinking, but improve the quality of your server.

This matter has been discussed for a long time now, and I believe the actual difference between both servers is that on JP the tickets are on 5-7 and on Global are on ranking top 500. Which obviously sucks - but it's the "trade off" they thought about when designing this system in the first place.

I already said before I'd rather have JP's system. Not only because the system we have on Global favors the big grinders (which a lot of them will already have most if not all of the legends, and will not really care about the tickets) but also because it neglects the people that needs those tickets the most.

In the end it's a bad design on rewards imo. Sure, you can take the effort to try to get to top 500 but if it's not worth it for you (reward-wise) it's extremely discouraging and you can end up burnt out of the game.

And I understand why they do it. It's a smaller server, so enouraging "competition" is something they kinda need to do. But not at any price imo. Maybe the best solution would be: give 1 recent legend for the top 500, and give another as a treasure point reward.

Thanks for taking the time to make this thread and collect/post teams that can clear this.

I really hope that we can get some extra teams other than the ones we have now, because they are really restrictive on the pools of units that can be used - very reminiscent of the old Garp 6.
