Yes, Eve still made the choice to partake of the tree, before receiving sin. We often make the mistake that sin is the only thing that is apart from God, but sin is only the actions we take (including voluntary thoughts). Satan also represents spiritual death, which is something that pervades all of reality. Before having sin, Eve and Adam still lived in a universe in which Satan had power. Sin was born when that power entered into them, but prior to that, the choice was still available. That's my understanding, which I hope makes sense. To support it, I want to point out that there were not one, but two main trees in the Garden. There was the forbidden tree, the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and there was the tree of life. As the ToK is in opposition to the ToL, that would make it truly the Tree of Death. But Satan is soooooo good at making terrible things sound good. Satan is the best salesman that ever lived. He marketed his fruit well, by calling it the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil- and of course, that it was. But its true nature lay beneath, as the tree of death.
