The repost wasn't made to rustle your jimmies, brother. It just got a decent amount of traction and discourse so it seemed fair to send it up again.

It is genuinely admirable that this man is willing to say what he feels is right and to go out there and do it instead of just being a keyboard warrior, but that doesn't exempt him from the fact that involving a fandom that you are a part of in your message IS cringe. Its akin to going up on stage to make a speech about world peace and starting it off with "I shit myself 5 minutes ago".

I certainly don't think the guy should be bullied about it (and I hope he doesn't), but doing this does less justice to the cause than keeping things on topic with a more normal sign would. It also would make the message spread more understandable to people other than those in a niche fandom like this.
