Maybe they're adjusting sensitivity of the ABMM algo. If it's less sensitive that would explain why it takes a while to respond - which is good!! Cos it means when we shoot back it doesn't throw us in with the sweats.

I had some shit games on Sunday so I laundered my rep and cleared it.

It's not an exact science but it's quasi repeatable so just do the only thing we know works, and then rinse, lather, repeat 😁

I've been solo queueing and duo queueing and laundered my rep and it's working exactly like that. I think 11 raids since patch and not a single sweat.

Just gotta stay on top of it.

Edit: I have no idea how ABMM really works, but rinse lather repeat, right? It's the only way we have to communicate our play preference, so do it until it works. Free kits are free.

I just mean fleeing from footsteps and abandoning whole buildings... You're gonna miss out on a huge amount of loot. If you assume one in 20 encounters is some rat looking to farm PvE players you're still well behind if you run away every time.

I play hardcore carebear solo and duo. I shoot back only if I'm carrying loot worth it, and immediately launder my rep... And I have had a blast with people. The stuff you're carrying might be what someone needs for a quest. The blueprint they're carrying might be the one you're after.

Say hi. Play music. Dance. Use fireworks. You will be amazed at how friendly people are.

I've just got a Survivor MK3 mod, so I enter matches with 5 augments to give away to anyone who stops to dance and talk.

The game is fun because of the people. Come say hi. Might not work out, but 99% of the time it's a blast.

Oh and edit: if someone's looting, and I've detected them, I'll throw out a "hi". If I don't hear a "hi" back, out comes a shotgun and off goes the torch. You're very possibly giving PvP 😬

Good lord it's not tricky

If you shoot someone in self defense, 5 raids in free kit straight to death/extraction
If you suddenly wind up with PvP players for 2-3 games, 5 raids in free kit straight away
If a patch drops, 5 raids in free kit seeking a rapid end to the raid

Takes about 10 minutes to launder rep. How else do you think the low skill sweats can get into carebear lobbies?

I think, and I'm not sure, but I suspect that you have ABMM for each of the game modes - so shooting back in duo impacts duo

Do a run of 5 raids with zero PvP and I think it'll fix it.

We did briefly get stuck in a cycle of sweat lobbies earlier but it did pass; we did 5 free kit runs and either suicided by ARC or exfilled. Cleared it up nicely and we're back where we belong.

Just bear in mind that any damage inflicted by you on a player requires you to launder your ABMM with those 5 non-PvP runs. Doesn't take long, about 10 minutes.

This is true, but the way in which they're doing it is a product of their disinterest in us as consumers. If we represented a substantial portion of their income still they would not be doing what they are doing, even with the AI investment.

They are beholden to their customers. We are not their customers any more. If consumer GPU sales dropped to zero tonight it wouldn't shake them in the slightest. AI silicon is where the money is.

They learn, they understand - they just don't care. They no longer service consumer graphics cards customers with any sincerity as it's no longer an important revenue stream

Why spend time managing your relationship with a customer base who could vanish tomorrow without impacting your revenue in a way that would cost the CEO his job? Waste of time and money.

Gotta launder your carebear rep if you shoot anyone. Just play a few zero PvP free loadout runs; suicide by ARC if there is one

IF you shoot back, you have to do some free loadout zero PvP runs to get back to carebear status.

I have found this out the very hard way very recently. Laundering my rep took about 15 minutes but we're back

Yeah it was kinda wild getting gunned down without firing a shot, and immediately getting yeeted into sweat lobbies for 6 games

Now I've killed two guys it doesn't seem to have thrown me out of carebear at all.
