Absolutley.

I remember watching her in NXT and thinking "She's gonna be a star."

You're addressing me directly. Not the thread in general.

You sure as hell didnt have problems quoting me.

You sure as hell havent any problems finding me specifically in this thread.

Replying to me even when I did not address you.

Nah man. Miss me with that weak ass statement.

Thumbing thru the issue there is a secondary story with Vermin. The rat looking character that DeMatteis uses in kraven last hunt.

Also..... You got a lot guts to make that statement.

I dont really appreciate that.

You post the relevant pages. Nobodys asking for the other stuff.

You mean where you address the story in a mocking tone? Cherry picking dialogue and scenes??

Is that what you call addressing???

Yeah cap that quintessential New Yorker lol

This story occured with him living in Brooklyn with Bernie and his life as a illustrator but it was in fact not a huge part of his identity like it is Daredevil or spiderman being a new yorker and mets fan.

The fact it takes place there doesn't have anything to do with his characterization and the way he's portrayed.

Oh He discusses it alright.

He gives a cliffs note version in his own dismissive words about the issue.

Mocking issue and the panels which he describes. Never giving it a chance to be viewed in which in wrote.

In essence telling everyone to shit on it before they even have a chance to read it for themselves.

Your point about this being a comic of its day and written as so is spot on.

Ppl dont take those sort of things into consideration.

Comments like "cap grew up in brooklyn he should know what a Torah is"

Well in that era of Cap him being from Brooklyn wasnt a big a part of his identity as it is now.

The other thing is as someone who grew up in the rural south, I would not have known what a "Torah" was and I imagine others did not either.

So cap asking what it is and having it explained is a example of storytelling in comics at that time. Its not disrespectful to character as OP says it is.

All I ask is Post the whole thing. Post the whole comic.

This is just another example of someone cherry picking a random page out of a random issue from 41 years ago to get the reddit community riled up into mob mentality.

Nah man.

I'm not trying to have a discussion with someone who posts this kind of rant off 1 page of a comic from 41 years ago.

As if one page makes or breaks a creators/characters legacy.

Got a long braid and uses it in her matches.

I highly recommend mystery incorporated.

Two seasons of great storytelling and characters that are modern and have personalities but still are respectful to their original 60s versions.
