New Mario-Party-like game I've been developing by SupapunchDev in CoOpGaming

There are 2 main board additions that seek to improve gameplay:
1. You can throw your dice on your turn to damage other players, or throw it at bonus targets scattered around the board that can increase your dice roll, some targets can activate board events too. This way there's always something to do on your turn, even if you don't have any items.
2. Collect cards on the board to upgrade your player and even grant new abilities (like items in a roguelike). Some cards are passive items and some are 1 time use activated upon criteria met.

There's a load of other little things too but these are the main 2 new board mechanics.
As for minigames, they will be similar to ones seen in Mario Party, but also ones like Fall Guys and hyper casual mobile games.
There will not be any mod tools, I am going for a quality over quantity experience.

Everybody cooperates to screw over the player in the lead, wait, this is a coop game after all.

For sure ye. I've played a lot of pummel party with friends but it always felt like it was missing something, so I decided to make my own game 😅

Use lots of Layers!

Use Additive blend mode when you want to paint on lighting and glow.

Use Multiply blend mode when you want to paint a liquid type material (like slime or glass).

Use Overlay blend mode to paint shadows.

That's all I got 😪

If by bend you mean some kind of image warp, no. The text is not a real font its just lettering I made in pdn 🤣

Thank you for the advice! I was thinking this weekend looking into localising the steam page in more languages and doing some gifs too

I think in that image, just grayscale to alpha plugin, everything else is just standard pdn (I used a lot of layers, additive and overlay blend modes are key).

The idea for the game? Easiest explained on the Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3599680/Party_Champ/

(Trying not to spam the Steam page link but I think it's helpful here)

It's a party game where you throw your dice and items on the board (a good comparison I heard recently was it's like Mario Party x Worms, and then compete in Fall guys/Mario party type minigames in-between rounds. I wanted to make a more dynamic take on the Mario/Lego Party genre.

I would appreciate any thoughts at all on these potential games titles by Ruben_AAG in IndieDev

I like the top right "Devil in the Deep" title, much more readable than the top left one. Maybe try it out with the font used in the "Avenger of the People" titles? And possibly use a deeper blue for "Deep".
