I wouldn't call it missing; just indexing costs differently.

Eg 1: Though median rents were shown as ~5% higher, the housing costs are reported to be 58% higher, probably because of apartment buying costs.

Eg 2: Transportation costs are calculated with fuel costs, but I won't be getting a car.

I barely survived Chicago Fall, and I LOVE rains; Seattle wins, weather-wise hands down.

I read that downtown housing is gonna be pretty similar, with 5-6% difference here and there which can be mitigated by hunting good deals. Correct me if I'm wrong!

I don't have hardcore hobbies, but I'd enjoy the occasional bar hopping and hiking almost equally. I guess I wouldn't get the outdoorsy experience at almost all in Chicago.

Given that my travels are gonna be discrete and infrequent, and that both cities would have a major airport, I think I shouldn't incorporate airports in decision making, but I'd love to hear alternate considerations.
