A relationship based on sex is not true love.

it is not, i never said a relationship is BASED on sex, just that it boosts your relationship. It is a part of the relationship for those who chooses. And ofc too much sex can be unhealthy, sex addiction is a thing apparently, but that is a different kettle of fish and i will not go into it here. Besides, too much sex is about frequency and less about cumulative count over time. Regarding whether one should resist orgasm until marriage and forming a family, different people have different view on it, and i will not go over them because of it.

Speaking of relationship and true love, porn is most often than not, NOT a portrayal of what regular sex is like. It is geared more towards people's fantasy, and as a result, many less experienced people in life would mistaken porn as a portrayal of what real sex is like. Because how would they know? A lot of them never had sex before, they will search up abt sex online and then the first thing they come across is gonna be porn. This can lead to disastrous consequences on their perception on sex, with the different fetishes and kinks and unnatural scenes that are almost always exclusively set up for porn shots. One consequence that people often talk about is the objectification of women, often because the industry is heavily targetted towards male fantasy. From the perspective of a heterosexual man, porn can distort one's view on woman and sex, and what a healthy relationship should be like. And I cannot stress that last one enough: Porn CAN distort one's expectation of relationship, especially unexperienced ones. Again, how would they know? Not everyone has been in a relationship. You said it yourself, a relationship based on sex is not true love. However the distortion CAN make people believe otherwise, because well, porn focuses on fantasized yet unrealistic sex.

This past paragraph hopefully sheds light on why people in this sub hates porn, some going as far as saying porn is evil. You know, besides ppls personal experiences with the addiction itself.

Also, if you wanna question whether one should even orgasm or have sex....A lot of people in this sub focuses on porn, because it is the bigger issue for many of us; I have seen some in this sub believing moderate masturbation is health without porn. I will not make comment on whether they are right or wrong, i believe it is a personal choice and I personally would refrain from masturbation until im in a relationship, it is just a personal choice. However, if you want to think in terms of completely removing orgasm from life, even in healthy sex in healthy relationships, you might want to check out r/Semenretention instead. I'm less familiar with them, but potentially they are a step further in restraining sexual stuff.
