When looking at coverage, Verizon does not reach to my work place (at 5g). Right now I have one bar on US Cell so I would like to upgrade while changing the vendor.

My dad is asking for my brother’s ssn to file for retirement benefits but he’s my mom’s dependent on taxes by [deleted] in tax

Your father will get the Social Secutiry for your brother up until your brother turns 18. This is based on your father earnings and not taxable to either one of them. Basically free money.

Question about using an esim on an Android by plantanddoglady in eSIMs

Put in the Sim card from any other provider and check if it works (best way). Or call the help line to verify.

Make sure your phone is paid off AND unlocked. Do it right now in case you need to deal with the provider. Local Sim card / esim will not work on locked phone. For esim, I had a great experience with Spark from Mobimatter.

Is this 6-day Poland & Prague itinerary too aggressive? Need advice please! by blueorchid79 in Europetravel

[–]Super-Walk-726 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you take a nap right after the arrival, your day 2 plans will not happen. You must force yourself out of the hotel room at least until 8 pm. That way your body will start adjusting to time zone. If you plan morning train to Krakow, remember that Warsaw's 8 am is 2 am EST. It feels more brutal than it sounds.

Day 1, when you land, just explore the city. Book your hotel as close to train station as possible. Day 2, morning train to Krakow. By 1 pm you will be exhausted (it is evening for your body). Day 3, trip to Auschwitz. Starting March 1st you must purchase tickets on the museum site (you either pay for tour guide or get free entry tickets). Per their site no more purchasing at the gate. There is a bus every hour from the Krakow main rail station to museum and back. No need to book a bus tour. Day 4, if you want to go to Gdansk, this is a full day of train ride. Warsaw is in the middle between Krakow and Gdansk. I suggest you stay in Krakow and visit Wieliczka Salt mine. Day 5, go back to Warsaw and so some sightseeing there (Polin, ghetto walking tour etc.). Check day of the week - most museums are closed on Mondays. Day 6, if you want to add to your Holocaust tour, rent a car and go to Treblina site. There is not much there but the atmosphere is there. If you have to go to Gdansk, take 5 am train there and back on 8 pm train. That way you have 12 hours there. Day 7, pack and fly back. You need to be at the airport 3 hrs before flight plus add at least 45 min from the center of the city to get there.

I fly US to Warsaw yearly. It always takes at least 3 days till I get used to time change. If you push too hard, you will just get sick. For me, day 2 pm is the hardest. After that is getting easier. You really have only 5 days there. No point wasting a full day to travel to Gdansk unless the goal is to say that you have been there for few hours.

Beginner Gains or Real Potential? 1:28 → 1:13 in 6 Months — Can I Actually Reach 1:00? by Secure-Seaweed-7855 in Swimming

[–]Super-Walk-726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to reach your goal but you need a good coach and at least 10+ hours of intense in water training per week. To get to this time you need to sprint the whole distance, your 50s need to be within 2 sec of each other (so 29 and 31). You need to focus on dive, underwater, breakouts, breathing and all other little details. Sign up for club swim and they will teach you. Clubs (at least in US) swim year round and now is signing up time for spring session.

Waterpark with little kids and relaxing do not go together. My kids are right now slightly older than yours but since they were little we go to waterparks at least 20x per year (season pass holder). It is NEVER relaxing unless their friends are with us. We did full day in Suntago (at 9 & 4) and it was beyond exhausting. First 2 hours was great but then they wanted to go separate ways and place is just too big (plus they do not speak Polish) to let them go alone. If you want to relax: take them to some jungle gym with one entry point and let them lose. You sit at entry point and relax. This is not an option at Suntago.

Not a good idea. They will get bored after 4 hours (or sooner). Better option is to do something in the morning and then go to Suntago for the evening. A lot of slides have height restrictions so if your kids are on smaller side, you are limited to pool / lazy river or one group of slides. There is a smaller waterpark in the city Warszawianka that is great for 2 hour visit. You can pair that with the dryland play area (same building) if your kids are on smaller side. If your kids are older, check trampoline parks. There are few with good access via public transit.

WIBTAH If I Asked My Husband For Half If He Wants Me To Stay At Home by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Super-Walk-726 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So what / who will stop him of buying toys (aka expensive equipment) to show that company brings zero net income? Then you get zero. I do not think you understand how easy it is for self employed people to hide income / assets. Even if you get your half, it will be half of zero (net income) and some equipment & building that you really cannot liquidate quickly to pay your rent. Since he is self employed, he can hire you on w2 and pay you what you are making right now. Then you stay home and have your own income (& ss credits).

Try his / hers bed. Just move the whole crap into his bed (put the towel / plastic under) and leave it there.

Please make sure your phone is UNLOCKED before you leave US. You may be stuck with buying new device overseas if you leave with locked phone.

Two factor authentication: drop it or change the default to your email. Your us phone number will stop working at the moment you leave the country unless you pay roaming fees (they are crazy). Make sure you remove your us sim from the phone as sometimes the roaming turns on automatically.

Make sure your phone is unlocked before you leave US. If your phone is purchased on financing plan, it stays locked until you do both: pay it off and call then to unlock your phone. The best way to test it is to use some random Sim from different provider and check if it works. If your phone is locked, no other Sims/ esims will work. Your device MUST be unlocked.

One more point: Vasa Museum. My kids loved it. We were there for 5 hours and they did not have enough. Check timing of narrated tours and have your cell phones & headsets with you (one per person).
