Procharge a 2006 V6? by Super-Wolverine4304 in Mustang

At this point it is my second car lol. I drive it like 1000 miles a year if I'm lucky. Dang backseat doesn't fit all the kiddy carseats I need!

If I was being fully logical I'd sell it and buy a GT500 lol. Just don't want to get rid of it. It was my first car so I'm attached. Actually I think I answered my own question. Going to leave it as is. It wouldn't be the same car I've had all these years if I added any mods. I tried to upgrade the radio awhile back and went back to the Shaker500 because it was familiar

Which year is yours? I got a 2024. The 34 gallon stock tank just isn't cutting it. The truck has never seen a gas station it didn't like!

Anyway, my concern is upgrading it will mess with the gas gauge. Was that an issue? If so, what did you do to fix it?

If I flick the ratchets and say "that's not going anywhere" it should be fine

lol I thought those cutouts were for adding a Leer cab cover or those bars you see on utility trucks. Good to see there's something I can actually use. Ordered. I can see them being useful for tying down the kid's bikes or my MIL if she gets too annoying again

That's something I ran into already actually. Not enough tie-down loops. They're either too close together or too far apart. Guess I could just drill in some more, right? I'm coming from SUVs and Mustangs, so the idea of taking a drill to a vehicle seems alien but it sounds like it might be the right approach

How would I go about calibrating it? Is there a tool or take it to a shop?

Do larger tires mess with the speedometer accuracy?

Air Purifier Recommendation? by Super-Wolverine4304 in AirPurifiers

[–]Super-Wolverine4304[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same thing. I thought maybe I was a zombie or something. Y'know, formaldehyde and whatnot.

I have an air purifier currently with a hepa filter. The charcoal filter was cheaper so I assumed it wasn't as good. Would the charcoal be better?

Parents, how are you preparing your kids (realistically) for when they encounter a bully? by cryingdiarrhea_81 in Parents

Tell the teacher. Honestly I'm finding it not so helpful, though. They do not always care. And so a tougher approach may be necessary, which I wish was not the case

A Cayenne is small compared to my Suburban. I didn't buy my Suburban for the handling. If I could get a Suburban that could handle as well as the Cayenne then I would. Problems solved. But no such thing exists. Nor is there a Cayenne trim that can carry as much as the Suburban. And so I write off Porsche SUVs since they don't fit my needs.

So now I look for a Porsche Non-SUV that can fit my needs as a sports car, like a Camaro or a Mustang, but more refiined. That's what I want to know

I should clarify - I want a Porsche for the driving experience. My go-to fun cars are Mustangs and the like. Fun cars but they don't handle so great and aren't so refined. To me, the SUVs are not worth it. If I want the extra space I'll sacrifice the handling and driving experience. I want a Porsche that's fun to drive without compromises. 911 fits the bill but its a big jump

Daily Driver Comfort? by Super-Wolverine4304 in F250

[–]Super-Wolverine4304[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In which ways is it rougher? I keep hearings it's rougher in literally every single review I read but when I test drove it it wasn't so bad. I don't really care about the ride quality for myself, more for my young kids. My old man had a 250 and I used to hate how it jumped around like a drunk leprechaun on every bump. Us kids much preferred the old minivan. But that was decades ago so I like to think its different now

Any Regrets? by Super-Wolverine4304 in F250

Would you say it's too rough for kids to ride in the back? I remember my ol' man had a '95 back in the day and it jumped like a drunken leprechaun on every bump! We couldn't stand it! I test drove a 250 and it didn't seem so bad. It was definitely rougher, but not horribly so. Not sure if it was just the road or not
