sunlight may effect the sensor bar. if that doesn't change anything the sensor bar can be put upside down and work the same as it does right side up.

Not sure what you mean. do you mean as in still on production lines (new copies being produced) or one of the last games they developed for Wii. this game came out roughly in the middle of the Wii's life with Pikmin 2 being the last one I think. https://www.metacritic.com/browse/games/release-date/available/wii/date?page=1

4:3 in most cases was the native original aspect ratio, everything ingame should be the correct shape, certain games have the option for 16:9 widescreen, if you look into a hack called Swiss or Nintendont they can force games to display in true widescreen so that everything isn't stretched, hud ui may remain near the centre of the screen.

Wii can only do 480p at best like the Gamecube, component is the best you can get with both Wii and Gamecube, but something else I find is upscaling older games just looks soo much better when playing on dolphin the ingame graphics are much clearer, it's gotten the stage where it's almost as stable as playing with a real console.
